  I chose a business ( Everett M. Brooks ******** from a list of "Registered Land Surveyors" attained from my town of **************** of ********************* in July 2023.* 7/25/23- I signed the Everett M. Brooks ******** contract (Project Manager; ***************************) & gave a deposit of $800.00.* 8/28,23-I spoke with ***** (only time I was able to get a hold of him) I explained that; I need a certified plot plan to support a bldg. permit; I want to identify on the plan a proposed addition, shed, enlarged driveway, etc....he resoponded "Okay that info we will go over once they do the initial layout of the existing".Since that conversation we have not received any response from them (him) at all... after several attempts. We've left several voice messages, we've sent many emails and even visited his place of business in ****** ** only to find it closed and locked up. He has disappeared to us.See dates below that we've attempted to contact them (him).*10/12/23- my wife sent email asking for status and to please contact us.*10/30/23- I left him voice msg. & email.*11/06/23- we drove to his office in ****** during business hours but office was locked up.*11/07/23- left voice msg. & email.*11/08/23-left voice msg.*11/13/23- sent email "Good Morning *****, Please contact me on the status of the job or if you are not able to proceed kindly return out full deposit and we will hire another professional. Thank you".*11/30/23- left voice msg. & email.*12/11/23- left voice msg. & email ("Hi *****, It's been 4-1/2 months since I signed your contract on July 25, 23. You haven"t responded to any of my (or my wife's) emails or phone messages since we spoke on August 28, 23...which is now 3-1/2 months! Is this the way you do business? I just called you again did not get an answer, so I had to leave another mesage. I look forward to hearing from you."So Its now January 9, **** and still no contact from them (him) of any form. They've had my $800.00 deposit and signed contract for almost 1/2 a year! At this point I do not want to work with them and want my deposit back. I would appreciate any help you can provide.Thank you.

  I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
