Todd came to our community to help many neighbors review their goods and educate us on the interesting history on a variety of antiques and jewelry. I learned so much about period pieces and markings to look for value. He was honest, took his time to answer questions and good sense of humor. I look forward to having him appraise more of my family pieces at my home soon.

Todd was most Unprofessional, has no clue, has much to learn, skirting by, does not listen, pre-occupied. He didn't even know what his website charged for initial appraisals. He related things to me that I'd already enlightened him about. He wasted my time. I took my items, left him the cash and tried not to embarrass him any longer to where he had to make up more poor excuses and guestamations.

I spoke with Mr. P. on two occasions in person and again via telephone, asking if he could provide a written fair market value (FMV) appraisal for a large volume of family jewelry that I planned to donate. I clearly emphasized that there were many pieces, that I would number each item and provide a form for recording FMVs, and asked him to identify any "hidden gems" he found among the costume jewelry. He agreed to do so and said that he provided appraisals of this nature often. In addition, he agreed to include appraisal of 3 antique books that we discussed. I delivered the jewelry and 3 books to Mr. P. on October 28, 2021 and paid him the $100 he demanded in cash and up-front before proceeding. After he informed me that he had completed the appraisal and that the jewelry and books were ready to be picked up, I retrieved my property on November 15, 2021 together with a blank valuation form and no other document identifying the value of the jewelry or books. On November 18, 2021, December 27, 2021 and again on March 23, 2022, I emailed Mr. P, repeating my request for his written appraisal and relating my disappointment with his failure to provide the valuations he had agreed to provide on 3 occasions and that I had paid for in full in October 2021. His unprofessional and unethical behavior in demanding up-front payment for work never performed is inexcusable. Accepting only cash payments may be another tactic for unsuspecting customers (and the IRS?) to note. Mr. P. needs to refund my $100.
