On 8/29/2019 we contracted with One Stop Remodeling / ******* ****** * *** ****** to remodel our bathroom. The work was completed approx October 2019. In February 2020, we reached out to Ms ****** due to cracks in the grout work for it to be repaired. She came out in March to patch the grout and told us the cracks were due to settling. Starting in October 2022, we reached out to Mr ****** several times regarding the flooring in our bathroom becoming soft and separating from the shower. He came out in January 2023 and looked at it, told us he didn't know what the issue was and that if we had any issues we needed to contact Ms ****** since it was her company. On 3/24/2023, we took up the flooring in question and have found extensive damage that has made our shower unusable until repairs are made. We have sprayed a bleach solution to help keep kill any mold present. Based on the softness of the floor, the damage is all around the shower. We reached out to Ms ****** to ask if she was still in business and haven't heard back from her. Please find copies of our signed contract which indicate we are to use the BBB if we have any issues. I have also included images of the damage. It appears the work that what we contracted & paid for wasn't done properly or there has been a failure in the materials used. We want for our shower & flooring to be repaired / replaced as soon as possible.Business response

I am very sorry to hear this complaint from this customer . We work very diligently on this project and always put our customers expectations first. This project was completed , approved and promoted by these customers. I was just emailed by them on March 24,2023 .The email never stated anything about project issues only if the company was still in business. The warranty on this project has expired. Please contact another contractor on your wear and tear issues. Thanks for you business!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I had someone come today to review the damage and they showed me where the corner of the shower liner wasn't sealed properly and even had nails going through it which caused the leak and subsequent floor damage.Images attached for reference.Based on this new information, I would like to have my case re-opened and request that Ms. ****** pay for the work to be done to fix the issue. This includes removal of the existing shower floor, shower pan, flooring surrounding the shower, repairs to flooring and installation of new items.

I reject this complaint the warranty has expired. This customer is requesting repairs (3 ) years later 2019-2023. I also hear from the customer’s statement that you had someone else tampering with your project we do not honor that. Your warranty on your contract was for 90 days and that has long passed . We will not be responsible for the wear and tear. Thanks!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:No one has "tampered" with the work. It was quite obvious to someone with knowledge of how this should have been done to see that the shower liner wasn't installed properly. This damage was the direct result of One Stop's failure to install & seal the shower liner correctly. Yes, I will agree that the warranty has expired, but this type of damage wouldn't have been caught within a year of the shower installation and we are holding you & Don ****** responsible for the damage that has been done.
