- Additional Business Information
- Additional InfoOn 2/17/2021, BBB requested the business confirm the ownership, management, and location of the business, as well as clarify the nature of its business. To date, this information has not been provided. BBB has been unable to confirm the authenticity of numerous reviews submitted for this business. Because BBB is unable to establish a reasonable degree of confidence about the validity of these reviews, BBB has removed all reviews for this business. In January, 2021, BBB investigated Omega Software Solutions LLC's business practices. This investigation was prompted by complaints that allege that the business is a tech support scam.
Specifically, consumers allege that they contracted with the business to resolve virus/malware issues, and after being told that they had "been hacked" or "had pornogrpahy on their computer", they were sold additional software. Once the software was installed, they were told the software would not work on their system and needed to be uninstalled so new software could be installed. During the refund process, financial transactions were initiated outside of the control of the client, resulting in them being directed to either purchase gift cards or wire funds in thousands of dollars to correct the payment error.
On 2/17/2021, BBB sent an email to the business with the following questions:
"1. Are there any Trade Names/DBAs (Doing Business As) of Omega Software Solutions LLC that BBB should be aware of?
2. Provide a list of all owner(s)/principals/executive management and their day-to-day role in the business
3. When did Omega Software Solutions LLC service their first customer?
4. Provide a list of all operating locations and the operations that occur in each.
5. List all services rendered by your business.
6. Are there any affiliated businesses/formal partnerships that BBB should be aware of?
7. The Omega Software Solutions website advertises software development services and online marketing services. Provide examples of websites and/or marketing campaigns your business has developed.
8. Provide at least three references from clients that have used your services.
9. What protocols does Omega Software Solutions have in place to ensure that employees are acting within the policies and guidelines of the company?
Describe your marketing efforts and how your business obtained clientele/customers, specifically for your technical support services?
10. Does your business record telephone calls for quality assurance?
11. Provide a copy of your contract.
12. Provide a copy of any customer satisfaction survey used for quality assurance.
