This provider has shady billing practices.For a second trimester ultrasound they Billed $289.00. In our insurance portal, we see that a Network Discounts and Reductions of - $112.99 was lodged.So, the day of visit, they obligated us to pay upfront before anything. We paid them $176.01, cash that same day of visit in July. Then they turned around and got our insurance paid them in November $176.01. Meanwhile they send us collections several times to this very day to pay them additional $112.99 which is lodged as Network Discounts and Reductions. In the end, they received from us $176.01 the same day of visit, then 5 months later claimed and got paid $176.01 by insurance, and attempting to get us pay them $112.99 for a total an egregious overpayment of more than the total amount billed to our insurance!!! This is Outrageous and a shady business practice. The is of general public interest, and everyone should know it, AND CHECK for such shady billing practices.They should immediately refund us the $176.01 we paid, and STOP any further collections for Good! We do NOT intend to do business with them ever again.Initial Complaint

On March 30, 2022 I had a scheduled appointment with Community Radiology in Bethesda, MD for a routine MRI. This exam was ordered and deemed medically necessary for my ongoing diagnosis of ******** *********. Community Radiology scheduled and confirmed the appointment although there were some hiccups about my insurance authorization. Community Radiology did in fact confirm the authorization was approved for my appointment. When I arrived for my scheduled exam, I was then quoted $1000 to do the MRI which was expected to be paid up front and I was not made aware of an additional $800, because I was informed when I was scheduling the appointment that I needed to pay the $200 copay. I asked to speak with a manager and team lead which nobody arrived or attempted to assist. I left the appointment without any of my required exams to stay up to date with my health. This exemplifies that Community Radiology does not care for the nature of their patients at all.Business response

On March 30th, 2022, patient arrived at the office with a balance due. The balance due at time of service was quoted to the patient upon scheduling prior to center visit. While the patient was on site, a site supervisor was called to address concerns. Patient left the center before site supervisor arrived to the suite. Patient was called and was not successfully reached by telephone. The patient then scheduled exams at a later date and was seen for services at another Community Radiology location.
