Date of the transaction started on 6/2/2023 with a deposit of $500.00 down to secure an engine for a 20132 ***** *******. Payable to Brandywine Automotive Center. With a remaining balance of 3422.00 which was paid in full on 6/7/2023. The salesperson involved in the transaction name is ***** ******. The engine was then shipped to Brandywine Companies in Lothian Md for installation. Upon completion on 6/19/2023 of the installation and payment was rendered the check engine light popped on. I immediately informed the mechanic *** of the problem. His response was, " What did expect, it's a used engine, I installed it and walked away." In disbelief, I immediately called ****** and explained to him the situation. ****** replied that *** will fix it. However, by this time *** had already walked away. Leaving me with an engine with more problems than before and a loss of $6000.00 dollars. There are countless issues currently with this engine. On 6/22/2023, I went to Brandywine Automotive Center to speak to ******'s boss/manager regarding my interaction with his subordinate and affiliate. This entire transaction and interaction have been extremely traumatizing and costly. After explaining my issue to **** ******, the manager of Brandywine Automotive Center. He provided no solution to remedy my complaint other than to offer me a $100.00 credit for the old engine. I have a 6-month warranty on the engine that I purchased from Brandywine Automotive Center, and they aren't honoring it. It's well over a month since the initial purchase and installation. I haven't been able to drive my vehicle out of concern that it's not functioning properly and the person responsible is disregarding their agreement. Due to the blatant disregard to provide adequate service and professional human courtesy to the customer. I am seeking help from the Better Business Bureau to aid in this matter because I fear that Brandywine Automotive Center will continue to disregard this issue. See Attach

** ******** ***** purchased a used engine from ***** auto. it was installed at ******* ******. He called here screaming saying it was smoking. We told him to have it towed to Brandywine and we would check it out.

He had it towed to the Bowie store fortunately we had a rollback to take it to our installtion dept.  it was diagnosed ...i will attach what our installation dept found.

"camshaft sensor codes and secondary air injection system"  all parts that come off the original engine. We haven't heard from customer since

We had a change in management, which is the reason for the delay in a response. The engine was delivered to ******* ******, but they are not in any association with Brandywine Companies, as can be noted by the customers attached receipts from them. I attached the front customer's receipt as well which he had failed to do originally which states the the customer received a ****** Warranty, but in no way reflects any of the service or care the customer received. The engine came with a ****** Warranty which covers the customers engine for 30 days and no labor.

The customer did come in to speak with the manager **** ****** and we refunded him the $100 core charge which is when we receive the customer's core back which the complaint incorrectly states, which is also stated on the FRONT of the receipt. **** ****** offered the customer a solution to have his vehicle towed to our installation department in Brandywine, at which time they would diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. Due to a miscommunication, the customer had his vehicle towed to our Bowie location which offers no labor or service. Luckily we had a tow truck in the area and offered to tow the customer's vehicle free of charge 23 miles to our installation department in Brandywine, MD.

Our mechanics looked at the customer's vehicle and determined that it needed a sensor which is not covered under warranty. In order to resolve the situation and amend for the inconveniences to the customer, we bought the sensor, replaced it free of charge to the customer, and billed the service to ***** Used Auto Parts internally.

**** has tried to reach out to the customer with no success. As far as we were concerned the customer had left with his vehicle in good running condition. If that is not the case and there are problems needing to be resolved please contact me, **** ********* at ******@brandyineparts.com. Or feel free to call our office at ###-###-####.
