I paid money to attend this trucking school to help me get my CDL and the training program was horrible. The trainer did not do and adequate job to teach me the essential information that I needed to pass my test. He told me that pre-trip inspection was only going to be taught one time and I had to video tape it to try and learn it. It was stated that it would not be gone over again even though I should be doing it before I get in a truck. I only attended two classes when I knew that school wasn't for me. He was easily distracted and on his phone half the time while he was suppose to be teaching me. I've been in communication with the company to get a refund over the last few months and they are dragging me along badly. The person who is in charge of the refunds was suppose to reach out to me and he didn't until the next day and then tells me he is out of town. He asked for a contract that I never received from Jeff who took my payment over the phone. They are not trying to give me my money back and now I'm feeling ripped off. I've been in communication about this refund for over a month now. They stated I don't need anything and the refund was supposed to be processed.

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/04/01) */ We trained ********* ****** at our Elkton, MD location. He attended the two classes in which our instructor notified us that Mr. ****** was unable to grasp the concept of Pre-Trip and the driving industry. We provide the tools he needs for this training and our instructor at the Elkton, MD location was doing everything possible to ensure he could understand. We have never had a complaint against our instructor at the Elkton location therefore we had to talk to him to figure out the exact problem that occurred. Mr. ****** decided to drop out of the program in which we have to receive the Certified letter, per our contract of cancellation. The owner of the company has to ensure that the amount paid on the contract is the correct amount and that the student did not attend more classes than Mr. ****** stated. We were verifying all information with our trainer and owner to ensure the correct amount is given back to Mr. ******. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/04/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was told that the letter was not needed. Their lack of communication is horrible. I have it in writing that the letter was not received after we sent it to them but was told it was not needed. The fact that they are saying I couldn't grasp the driving industry is Absurd. Their trainer only teaches the pretrip inspection ONE time and I'm suppose to get it from there. So every time I got into the truck we were not going to do the pre trip inspection because he showed it to me once already. That's not how someone learns. If it's suppose to be done every time I touch a truck then he should be teaching it that way. They stopped responding to me when I reached about the refund. Gary never returned my call after Jeff supposedly sent him the contract he was requiring. Attached is the message that I received that the letter was not received but I didn't have to resend it.

After attending the school for 4 of the 12 courses and receiving sub par instruction a discussion was had with the owner and we decided to go our separate ways. He was to send me a refund check for the balance of my $2200 deposit. He told me it would take 30 days to process. This took place around thanksgiving and I have not received anything. I have called and texted the business 3 separate times over a month and have not received a response. They owe me at the least $1200.
