Service technician David arrived promptly and was well equipped to handle a variety of work orders for our condominium association. He listened and made well thought-out suggestions and recommendations. Walter Electric has successfully completed a number of service requests for our community. We will use them again.

Horrible business practices to overcharge customer. Our power to the detached garage went out and we called Walter Electric to come out and take a look. They told us that their charge for emergency was $350 for the first two hour and $80(?) for the next half hour after. The technician came and found the our wire were defective and they need to completely replace it. He said that in the meantime, he can lay a temporary wire so that we can still use the electricity in the garage. At no time did he mention that they are charging us besides the time since this is a temporary fix until they can come out and lay the real wiring. During the process and after it was done we asked him at least 3 times what the pricing for today and a quote for the project to complete was and he keep telling us that he does not know and the company will have to get back with us, however, he is charging us today for 2.5 hours of work. The next day, the company called and wanted to charge us $700+ for temp wire alone adding up to about $1200. We asked them to just take their wire back because at no point in time were we aware they are charging us since they will take the wire back after completion of the final job and the technician NEVER told us besides the hours. Will never use them or recommend them to anyone.

WARNING! Think twice before using them! Not worth it! The price is never going to be what was quoted. The work was handled nicley, so that is something they do have going for them. Before the job was started an estimate visit was needed to see the scope of the work that was to be done. I was told that my estimate fee of $69.00 would be taken off the cost of the job when paid up front, so after the estimate was done I received a detailed quote stating a total of $469.00 (having already paid the estimate fee) I thought that my final payment would have been $400.00, becuase the estimate payment was not reflected off the detailed quote. No I was wrong according to them! to My surpise I ended up paying $538.00 in total. I was never told of this amount nor was it STATED ON THE QUOTE. I feel it was to keep the estimate fee and, this is concidered a hidden fee becuase it was not reflected on the detailed quote. If I had known they operated this way I would never have used them. Not only that, but they did the first quote wrong. Not using what was detailing and recorded from the estimate visit, and they left out an additional job I needed them to quoted, aslo from that visit. All in all BE WARNED when you use them. If I could give them a half star I would. They will find someway to make sure you don't get your estimate fee taken off the bill.

On Wednesday Dec 8, I scheduled an appointment for Monday Dec 13,. Yesterday, I got a call from Walter Electric office saying they can't come Monday and will call me back today yo reschedule. That didn't happen and now I wasted my opportunity to look for another electrician because of the weekend. This company has no respect for people's time. Do not waste your time
