On 1/3/2023 I had a Psychiatric appointment which I missed. Per the contract that I signed, the amount which they are allowed to charge is $160 for a no show (I have attached the contract in its entirety and the pertinent provision). They charged me $220 despite my notifying them that the maximum allotted amount they could charge per the contract I signed and the documentation provided to me was $160 (I also once missed an appointment and they only charged $140 so I am very confused). They did not change the charge so I disputed the charge on my credit card and stated that the correct amount should have been $160 and my credit card company returned $60 to me. I then received an email from the billing person saying that my credit card company charged then a $15 fee to investigate and I would now be charged with such fee. Then when I logged into my account I noticed new document which were uploaded today, 1/9/2023, after I filed my dispute stating that the rate for a no show is $225. I never signed a contract for this amount and I was never given this documentation until today. It is not legal for them to charge me an amount other than the contractually agreed upon amount. Additionally they did not provide any documentation as to the $220 (which documents actually reflect $225) until after I filed the dispute. I should not have to pay anything other than the contractually agreed upon amount without any notice that the terms have changed until after filing my dispute. Additionally, I should not be charged the $15 fee for my credit card to investigate as they did overcharge me so my dispute was made in good faith. I have attached: (i) the contract; (ii) the pertinent provision of the contract; (iii) the new documentation uploaded to my account; (iv) a screenshot of the date the new information was uploaded; and (v) the email from billing.
