referral from my dentist with a ***** DHMO to see an in network oral surgeon with the ***** DHMO due to a a 5mm round palpable tissue on left side of the max labial mucosa to evaluate and treat. At the Surgeon office Dr. Lila K** on 6/14/21 told me that I needed a tissue removal when I exit I was told that my responsibility was 0. so I went ahead to schedule my surgery. I had my surgery and biopsy was send to the lab. Then 8 months later I got a bill from the office charging me for $616.00 that the ***** insurance did not pay because it was a soft tissue but not tooth related. (see ***** claim #******* it says soft tissue and was approved to no patient responsibility at all ). I spoke to Evelyn at the Oral surgeon office many time to see why they did not write the amount off . She said they cannot do that. Evelyn told me to bill my medical . I asked them why they don't bill my medical if they have both insurance information. She refused to do it. She said that was my responsibility to bill my medicals insurance. I bill my medical and both denied it because this office is not in network an originally this was a dentist in network referring me to an oral surgeon in network with ***** DHMO. Per ***** website my patient responsibility was 0. Eventhough I have proof of my Patient responsibility of 0. Non wants to help me. The billing manager over Evelyn was so rude and did not want to wait and send me to collection agency. *** collection had copy of my 0 balance but after a dispute it . They are only collecting so that is my responsibility even with proof . claim #******* was received 7/17/2021 and processed on 9/15/2021 with 0 patient responsibility . Also the office sent this Biopsy even after having my two medical insurance to an out of network lab and lab is charging me (*** Diagnostic services) $240.00 . Big from this lab received after a year for the first time .
