A contract with ******* (*****) *****, KBServices LLC, on January 5, 2022 for kitchen and basement renovations. Per the terms of the contract, a deposit was made in the amount of $34,107.50, which was paid on Jan 6, 2022. Work began on the basement on January 18, 2022. A second payment was remitted to KBServices in the amount of $11,369.16 on February 15, 2022. The third payment of $11,369.16 was paid to KBServices on April 25, 2022. Due to breach of contract, $21,268.00 is to be refunded resulting from overpayment due to the cancellation of the kitchen renovation which was paid in full. As of October 21, 2022, ********************* has abandoned the job leaving trash, debris, food, and supplies in the basement (see photos). He was scheduled to return on Saturday, October 22, and did not show up. The job has been fully paid and has not been completed (see photos). Here is a list of items that have not been completed: 1. Flooring was not completed. Half of the flooring was installed on Oct. 21 but has not been completed. 2. Recessed lighting and electrical sockets have not been installed. 3. Window, floor, and door trim not completed. 4. Sliding door trim has not been installed. 5. Doors have not been installed. 6. Painting has not been completed.7.Flooring on basement stairs and painting have not been completed. 8. Laundry room has not been completed; the utility sink has not been installed; dryer ventilation has not been completed. 9. Laundry shelving has not been installed.
