I use ******** **** ****** for my home warranty. On 2/7/2023 I opened a request and got an appt with H&K Plumbing for 3/1. It was determined on 3/1 that a clean out was necessary. The young man who worked on the drain looked to be in his early 20’s. He tried to use a regular snake and it did not work. There was a leak in one of the pipes which he replaced. He assured me there are no more leaks. Later that evening, I notice water under my sink, when I looked it was the water valve from the dishwasher was leaking. I turned the water off to stop the leak. When he snaked the pipes, he may have hit the valve that caused it to leak. I have used my dishwasher in the past with no issue, we only had an issue with the clogged drain. Also, he was supposed to send the report to *** that evening to determine if they would cover the clean out. On 3/3 I had not heard back from him. As soon as *** called, they received the report and a charge for $480 to do a clean out of my drain. Unfortunately, it is not covered by ***. I called the H&K and made an appt for 3/8. I mentioned that the valve to the young man, he said that may have been existing. If it were existing, why is it that he did not mention it to me on 3/1 when he came out. He said I had to call *** again and request a new work or so that they can fix the valve. He was such a dishonest young man. I will never use H&K plumbing or recommend anyone to use them for their dishonesty. I really hope *** do not use them for their dishonesty.Review from Victor G

Property management hired this company to come out on the weekend to fix an over flowing toilet at my rental home. Turns out that all that needed to be replaced was a fill valve. If you are not familiar on what it takes to replace a fill valve I suggest you google it to get some context. Bottom line up front, it's not a hard job. I was charged for 2 1/2 of work to replace it! Mind you the tenant had already cleaned up the water, so all that was done is replacement of the valve. I have no quarrel with the amount they charged per hour, $189, since it was the weekend. My issue is the amount of time they claimed it took to replace it. I am still waiting for the owner to give me a call back to explain to me how it took their "professional" plumber 2 1/2 hours to fix the issue. I would have fixed it myself in less than an hour, but I live outside of the state. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your plumbing needs.

This customer was not told by his management company that he would be responsible for charges port to port we were in Columbia and drove to them in rosedale did the work afer investigating the issue (we were sent out for main line stoppage) finding that the toilet had just cloged and overflowed and the fill vale was bad allowing it to continue to run after repair was complete we drove to the office in Lutherville totaling 2hours and 30 minutes this in our opinion is good and 100% accurate timeing port to port is how we bill for after hours work onlyH&K Plumbing Response

Further more we also reached out to the customer and they stated that they would be reconciling their review on Google and on the bbb wich we are still waiting for do to this being a decision the thier management company made for him we just did as we were asked to
