I went into this business on 2/22/20 to purchase a box of wine for my Mother in-law. We had just got gas next door and were on our way to Westminister. They had 1 box of what I was looking for. I did look around a minute to see if there may be something else. i picked up the box by the handles on top. Sat it on the counter and paid for it. I took it to my car and sat it on the back seat. We then drove to Westminister. When we arrived, I went to get the wine out of the back, it had fallen ov er on the seat and wine was all over my seat. I picked up the box, by the handles and took into the house right to the kitchen sink. We then started to look to see why it was leaking, there was a huge hole in top of the plastic bladder that was in the box. The wine smelled horrible almost like vinegar and was a horrible color, Supposed to be a light golden color (Moscato). I then called the store and told the clerk whom waited on me that I had been in there a bit earlier and bought a box of wine. i told him that it had fallen over on my seat and leaked. He said "Was it leaking when you took it off the shelf" I said, I don't know, it was upright. He then says " Was it leaking when you took it to the car" I said I don't know it was upright. I kept trying to tell him that it fell over and leaked from the top and how nasty the contents was and I would like a refund. "What happens after you leave here is your responsibility" I told him he sold me bad product. its not my fault. "After you leave its your responsibilty" Over and over. I couldn't get a word in. I finally had to yell at him. So your not going to do anything about this? Once again he repeated his line,Business response

He sold me a box of wine that was damaged and vile. I'm entitled to a refund. We couldn't even drink it. As far as it leaking, I carried it upright to the car. It fell over on my seat, which is when we found the damaged bladder inside the box and the disgusting contents. It was old product he should have disposed of. As I mentioned in my letter dated March 4, I am familiar with the events you described in your letter, as I was the one who spoke to her. The consumer had purchased wine from my establishment. At no point was it leaking within my store. I can only surmise that something happened to it after she left my premises. I tried to explain to her that if it had been leaking, it would have done so within the store, especially upon my counter. I was not entirely interested in resolving this issue, especially after her obscenity laced tirade at me. However, I have since reached out to her.
