This company is terrible! We contracted them to remove furniture and appliances then clean up our deceased Mother's villa in ********, *******. They subcontracted the work to a house cleaning crew who were totally incapable of the task. The house flooded after they removed the refrigerator and dishwasher. It's been three months since then and they deny responsibility. Curbio advertises heavily to realtors and like to take payment at closing. So, if your realtor recommends them, run for your life and find a different realtor! All in all, the damages ran us more than $50,000.Review from Jimmy B

They were nice people overall but this company is awful. Their prices are outrageous because of the service they offer, however their service is terrible. They are extraordinarily bad communicators and the work that was done on my client's house (I'm a real estate agent) was so bad she had to cough up an additional $20K to her buyers so that they could properly undo the work Curbio did. Additionally Curbio had it in their contract to pull permits for the work they were to do but never did. Total Amateur Hour.Review from Joe C

Other agents in our office had used Curbio to rehab a listing we have for sale. The process started out ok then went bad to worse. The contractor and field manager were terrible. ****** work had to be re-done several times. The items they ordered such as cabinets, bathtubs, tile. (basic materials for re-hab) were shipped to the property damaged several times and had to be re-ordered. Communications broke down with the field rep, and area manager. This program is designed for home owner to have repairs done on the property to make ready for sale to obtain more money with 0 out of pocket. Our homeowner had to come out of pocket for painting that was originally part of Curbios scope of work that we had to remove because of shoddy work. The homeowner had to drive to a store several times to pick up basic items, bathroom cabinet, tile to get the job done. Don't use Curbio or if you do vet out the contractor and who you are working with if you don't like them or if they cannot give you references - walk away. This company advertises to home sellers for general contracting services to improve property in anticipation to receive compensation upon sale. WARNING>>>>>DONT USE THIS COMPANY. I entered into an agreement with this company in October 2022. They didnt start work until February the next year. When I asked for an equal extension of time due to the delayed start date , they wouldnt budge. The method is to charge you 3-10 times what the job really costs. In my case, the wanted to charge me 45k to paint my home. I told them I would paint it on my own and the stated that was ok, but they had already power-washed the home and wanted 16k for that work. Not only was this 5x of what it should costs, they actually never power-washed the home. When I tried to complain and wrote several emails to the in house council, there response was to file a mechanics lien on my property without even a credit for the painting the promised. The workers where incredibly slow and caused the house marketing to be delayed. Please do your homework on this company . contact me and I will elaborate in more detail.Review from Natividad D

I had a contract with Curbio to do some work in my property for 98,000 dollars. There are breach of contract and these are the following, plants and bushes are not pruned and not trimmed, leaves are not removed, some debris are not removed. Windows are supposed to be cleaned but they are not cleaned. Some doors are not refastened. The bathroom rods are not refastened and missing. The Curtain rod and mirror in my living room are not refastened and are missing. They borrowed my ladder from my garage but did not return it. They broke my water hose. They are supposed to clean the surroundings of my property but only cleaned half of it. Some windows are broken. There is so much poor workmanship. The closets and bathroom hooks are not refastened and are missing. I caught one of their workers digging in my baggage and some items of my deceased husband are missing. My decorative plants are missing. The contract says they will work everyday but after I signed the contract, they only worked like few times a month and when I asked why, they said they work by phase. Some workers are not trustworthy. I politely asked them to give me discount for all these mistakes but instead of giving me discount they sent me a document to sign that their workers are not their workers but my workers and that they worked under my supervision which are all lies. I wish that they will give me discount for all these mistakes and discipline their workers.Review from Kimberley B

Curbio has the worst customer service. They over charge and refuse to be transparent with their invoicing. As a customer, they dismiss any of your concerns, they don't contact you for weeks, they buy more products than needed and instruct the contractor to throw those products into the garage instead of returning and crediting the customer. The "project manager" orders the wrong items or forgets to order items altogether and only shows up to the home twice in a four month period of time. Because of all their poor business practices, it took four months to complete a five week project. I would never use or recommend this company if you plan on renovating your home and selling it.Review from Scott M

The realtor my brother used to sell his home used this company Curbio to contract a dumpster. The original contract called for a 30 ft. dumpster due a period of 30 days at a price of $2200.00. The actual size dumpster supplied was 20 ft and only on there for 2 weeks. The Curbio contract states in writing in Sections 6, “All changes of any kind to the Services must be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and Owner in a written Change Order…” Clearly this was NOT done by Curbio. In short, Curbio refuses to lower the amount of the $2200.00. This decision by a Samantha Van Wagenen states in an email that “it’s far too late to make any changes to the contract now that work has been completed…”. Well then, why weren’t the changes made prior to the work being done? All involved including the realtor and the people at Curbio knew of these changes and not was done. They had didn’t care about anything except that the have a signed agreement for $2200.00 that Curbio did not honor by their own terms of the contract. This company’s business practices leave a lot to be desired and I would recommend that no one use Curbio for anything. My feeling is that they do not care about the customer or have any type of true customer service. That may explain the “F” BBB rating.Review from Mary L

I hired Curbio in Sept 2022 to redo my flooring as per a recommendation from my realtor. Curbio hired Empire flooring to redo all my flooring in my duplex I was selling. The first day I came home around 10 that night and found that my refrigerator no longer worked and they did not place my downstairs toilet back where it belonged. As per the General contractor from Curbio he kept saying the frig was old and the toilet had a "preexisting problem" in other words there was a leak which rusted the flange and thus the flange broke. The flange was PVC pipe material so it couldn't have rusted. The General contractor then changed his tune and stated the toilet had been out of line. I explained the tile wasn't cut properly around the toilet because I cut the peel and stick tile arouind the toilet and it just looked off center. Curbio had an excuse for everything. I went upstairs to go to bed and when I went to turn off my nightstand light I noticed it was to far to reach. I got up and moved the night stand closer to the bed and noticed a gouge in the baseboard and wall which was left by the floor worked and was concealed by the night stand. I had to debate with the General Contractor to get me a new frig. He kept saying it was old. I discussed it with him and said I don't care how old it was it worked the day the floor subcontractors started. I waited 2 weeks for a frig to be delivered and had to eat out for 2 weeks. Not only that I lost all the food in the frig and freezer with no compensation. Not even a, "We are so sorry that's not how we do business!!". Everyone just disappeared when I started having all these problems. Couldn't get a hold of anyone. I was now asking for $800 compensation to repair the toilet downstairs and the cost of eating out and the loss of food. I finally got a return call from the VP of SE Virginia, I got a sorry but would only complensate me $500. Then the VP disappeared and the only person I could talk to was their lawyer.Review from Kelly F

Awful service. Had a general contractor review work done by Curbio, and he confirmed the work done was $300-500 max. Curbio has charged over $3000. We have tried to communicate with them over this with zero resolution. We have been dealing with this horrible company for months with lack of communication on their end on how this work is so overpriced. Stay away from Curbio, they only want your money!Review from Leonard W

More than ONE YEAR after the contract was signed and the renovation is STILL NOT COMPLETED!!! The townhome is not habitable. The contract with Curbio is for more than $80,000. We've been through numerous "project managers" and still have no idea when the work will be completed. Their latest promise is 'early November', yet no work has taken place in months. Both the kitchen and bathroom has been stripped bare. The power and water are turned off. This project has been a nightmare.
