Needed a simple pil change. Called for an appointment when they opened. After being hung up on six times, I decided to just drive up there (an hour away) for express service. When I arrived they wanted to know what time my appointment was for. I explained and they took me to a service advisor, who only wanted to schedule another appointment. Nobody listened to me. This is POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!

Trying to get warranty repairs done on a vehicle purchased at Darlings was a complete nightmare. They had multiple chances and each was worse than the one before it. Lack of communication, lies, inability to actually fix the vehicle, unwillingness to stand behind the vehicle they sold me and a clear attitude of complete indifference from management. Ended up going to a competing GM dealership where I had a far better customer experience.

There are several reasons for this complaint! First off they straight up lied about the price of the vehicle that I purchased. It is currently only worth about half of what I paid and it was purchased about 4 months ago. Then they insisted on pushing us into a payment my wife and I were not comfortable with at all. When I went in to talk with two different General Managers dabout the issues, and I simply requested a remedy because the vehicle does not suit my needs for business. When I asked what it would take to get me in a different vehicle that I actually wanted, they just wanted more money out of me after I gave them $4000 up front when purchasing this vehicle. They also did not give me nearly what my vehicle was worth when I traded it in. They basically told me that they did not have time for me. I felt extremely disrespected and they did not even validate my concerns. Unfortunately, I will be doing business elsewhere from now on! I would highly recommend taking your vehicle to a different mechanic before purchasing so that they can go over it with a fine tooth comb and tell you what it's actually worth before for you buy it here. This truck is 3 years old with less than ***** miles and I'm already having issues and of course, it's out of warranty. Best wishes.

Our last experience with Darlings's service was very negative. We purchased four brand new tires from them for our ****** Rogue that were rated for ****** miles. ** only ****** miles (14 months later) we discovered from our local mechanic that they won't pass inspection. We never take our Rogue off-road or put it in any poor-terrain situations. Our mechanic told us that the brand of tires we had on it are known to be such poor quality that he refuses to buy them and put them on any of his customers' cars. I called Darlings' ************** to find out why they would have sold us this kind of cheap tire, I was immediately put on the defensive and peppered with questions about how many times we've had our tires rotated, did we need an alignment, have we had damage that would have impacted tire *********. There was no apology or explanation provided for why they would choose to offer their customer such an inferior product. We won't be going to Darlings for service ever again, nor will we go to them to buy a car again, even though we bought our last two from them.

EDIT: now Im seeing they removed my ****** review as well. Classy.Darlings ***** in Bangor. #DarlingsHondaNissanVolvo Excitedly purchased a 2019 ***** Civic Hatchback with a 1.5L turbo back in October. I walked in on a Saturday before my son had soccer, picked a car, dropped $3000 on a down payment and said, Add on all warranties and protections for the life of the loan: make it happen. Within a couple weeks, I brought it back in to get undercoating done which took a couple days no big deal. I get the car back and the next day: blown engine and turbo going back to work on my lunch break. I call into the service department and the first guy laughs at the situation so needless to say I am ripped. Then Im told I have to set up the tow. First number I get says I have to pay. Second number I get they tell me Im not in a certified vehicle. So I end up paying $225 for a tow. Without a car for well over a month, almost a month and a half. When I get it back the second time? Someone vandalized the car, scratching an X in the window. So it goes back into the shop. At this point Im asking to just get my down payment back and everything cancelled on the loan and the car returned. Im told I would owe THEM $1700. Then when pushed they say well we could refund you, but only after taxes are taken out because thats already been paid. So I decide Ill keep the car but I let them know that this thing is coming back for anything else wrong with it. Well it didnt take long because after about a week and a half, there have been acceleration issues as well as the rear windshield wiper just not working at all. I request they fix it and Im told theyll schedule the appointment. Almost two weeks go by and they dont do anything so the original sales rep tells me to bring it in. Im that time though they responded to my ****** review to save face but we are in ***** mode now. When I brought it in, I learned that not only am I someone that doesnt receive customer service, but Im also a forgetful face. In the hour I was there no one welcomed me in (not surprised because at this point Ive had to be a ***** to get any responses) but they COULD speak openly about a ladys situation with her car valued at $2500 being different than my situation known as THAT ***************************** and he mustve done something that car is fine.So Im not one to back down. Heres my formal message about Darlings. Yall only care about the sale or when people are complicit. Anyone can buy a big customer service award winner banner for their counter but that doesnt mean they won anything nor deserve it. Yall speak openly in your shop around customers and their situations with no problem spicing it up with personal opinions on them. So Id remind you that my Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with ALL warranties and protections, has been in YOUR POSSESSION for 70 of the last 100 days. You not only have demeaned me but youve just been unconcerned about vandalism to my car. You have people openly insulting others when the customer had massive issues in less than **** miles and continues to have significant issues. Ive lost not only patience and respect for you all, but also time and money. $3000 in down payments. $**** in monthly payments. About $600 in gas and mileage traveling to and from your dealership. And approximately $**** in PTO Ive had to take to handle this situation which has DRAGGED for three months when I couldve just had this returned simply in November.
