I had a consultation for an extraction on June 21st in the Portland Maine office.Anesthesia was involved which is not covered. I was directed to pay for the entire portion of my procedure on the 21st of June and had my extraction on the 22nd.I filed an appeal with my insurance to cover my anesthesia and I found out the insurance found in my favor and gave this establishment $480 on August 16th.They deposited the money through EFT on the 16th of August.I spoke to a woman by the name of **** at this location who claims her title is office manager for all three of the branches. We spoke on August 21st at 10:16 in the morning. My first issue is it shouldn't be so arduous to get a hold of billing I was never allowed to speak to them directly.**** informed me the insurance sends payments out in bulk that she will do her best to have it processed by the end of the week so I waited patiently. We next spoke on Friday the 25th and **** said that they had never received the money from the insurance which was contradictory to what she told me on the 21st.I called my insurance and had them call **** and they spoke to her directly and provided her all the information she needed. I was informed my account was flagged and my payment would be processed as soon as possible. This establishments policy is issuing checks once a month for reimbursements even though they won't tell you what day that is.I spoke to **** again on August 31st two weeks since they received the insurance reimbursement. The money still is not in my account but **** says they do have my claim it just needs to be processed **** says that I "might" get a check today even though there's no money in my account.I'm legally disabled and this establishment should not be holding my money. They should have a more clear-cut policy on remittance of payment and they should make it easier for the customer. As a disabled person I feel I have been taking advantage of and they have a history of doing this.Customer response
