Attention ***********************, On August 24, 2021, we purchased a 2015 **** Escape from your dealership. VIN1FCU9GX2FUB87196, financed with **** of America, with **** Motor Service Extended Warranty. We were told the vehicle was local, repurchased from the estate of the previous owner who**;s relative is employed by your dealership. We were assured of the quality and unusually good condition of the vehicle, that it had an oil change, was inspected with a ************** inspection sticker. At purchase, the vehicle had ***** miles. We have owned the *** for exactly four months, adding another **** miles, not enough miles to need an oil change. Because of an intermittent check engine light, we chose to have the car checked and have the 40,000(*****) mile check-up at the same time. We were surprised when the service person reported that extensive work was needed (assessment form attached) with just a partial cost of $1000.00, other parts and repairs are listed, not priced, including an alignment. We were told that the vehicle will not pass a ************** Inspection without the work detailed in the attachment. After only 4 months of light use? Our question is how does a vehicle supposedly inspected and in "great" condition, after only 4 months and **** miles, suddenly need such extensive work? The vehicle has not been abused or damaged in any way by us. How could such extensive wear and tear occur? If the vehicle had been properly inspected, such necessary work should have been discovered and corrected before selling the vehicle to an unsuspecting client. In addition, we have learned that the vehicle was in fact purchased at auction in ******* ************, not a "local" repurchase as we had been assured. In addition, of course, none of the work on the assessment form is covered under the extended warranty policy. Note: We want the warranty cancelled! In our opinion, it is a farce and a scam. With the extensive work we were told is needed at only ********************************************************************* the mileage is inaccurate. This is our first experience purchasing a **** product and our first experience with your H32303235**303035**32H We are disappointed, angry and disillusioned. Be assured, we will not be purchasing another **** product after this experience.Business response
