Do not hire this company. In August 2020, we entered into a contract with *********************** d/b/a Acadia Property Management, LLC (APM), to restore our private road. The contract included labor and materials for an estimated amount of $8,000. When the invoice was received for the "completed" work, of the over $8,000 billed, $2,000 was for labor, over $5,000 was for rental equipment and less than $1,000 was used for actual material. In the spring of 2021, after the snow had melted, the surface of the road had washed away. The lack of material used by APM and their lack of using a heavy vibratory roller to secure what gravel they did put down (a term of the contract) became apparent. When contacted, APM refused to guarantee their work or to return to complete the restoration per the terms of the contract. They offered to perform 8 hours of reshaping the road but refused to incur any hard costs such as putting down gravel/material needed or renting a roller. Instead, they filed a claim with their insurance company MMG Insurance and walked away. MMG denied the claim stating that the coverage of the policy in place was not a performance bond policy. MMG refused to provide a copy of the policy to confirm the same. At this same time, APM had 2 other claims pending against it under the same policy for the same poor quality of work and lack of material. The road is now in worse shape than it was before APM worked on it. Estimates since obtained to apply gravel, rebuild the base and surface and complete the restoration originally contracted by APM, is over 3 times what was paid to APM. APM misrepresented its ability to restore the gravel surface and provide water management for maintaining the surface of our private dirt road as contracted. They did not disclose that they did not possess the equipment required to complete the agreed upon restoration and that $5,000 of their estimate was for equipment rental, money that would have bought a lot of gravel.
