I am very pleased with the people at Garthwaite Energy. Their office staff and service personnel are helpful, courteous and efficient.When they installed my new oil burner/ boiler/ hot water heater the price was right and the service was excellent. We will be staying with Garthwaite for the future.

Never been very good at math; but I can't figure out why the state (southeast) average is $3.36/gallon (propane) vs the $4.39/gallon that we are paying. Are we doing something wrong?

Garthwaite has exceeded my expectations over and over again. They are very professional yet family oriented. I switched to them back when my mom needed a new oil company. And I have continued with them due to their experience and and dedication from all their employees.

Garthwaite Energy has been a pleasure to do business with since switching to them several years ago.I grew up in the oil delivery business. Both my father and grandfather ran an oil business. I started delivering oil to homes when I turned 15. Today's regs weren't around then. My selection of an oil supplier is based on the quality of their service department. Each year I call the service **** of my current dealer and ask if certain technicians (by name) are still employed there.In our ***** cold *******, expertise and deep bench are paramount. The price of oil is less than secondary. I selected Garthwaite because my favorite "go to" technician (******************* and one other) transferred there.I only hope that their growth and success does not attract a buyout offer by one of the big guys.

Garthwaite has been my service provider for Oil for the last 9 years. They are professional, courteous and provide excellent ***************. I have my burner service by them on a yearly basis and the Service men are extremely professional. Great service, great team!

Garthwaite does what is best for them, not for you. We hired them to replace our oil tank and boiler. We wanted a similar system to our existing set up. They recommended an Indirect Water Heater. We questioned the need for one, but after they told us how much more efficient it was, and that it would add to the resale value we agreed. First time we used the water after they finished there was air in the system. Not just a few sputters, flushing the toilet almost blew it off the floor (not an exaggeration) and the shower wand would pop off it's holder when turned on. Called them back 3 times. Each time we had the same issue, and it was getting worse. Finally they told me not to call them again because the air in the lines had nothing to do with the job they did. On the advice of another company I hired someone to check our well system. As soon as he entered the basement, as I was pointing out the well pump, he took one look at the Indirect Water Heater and said that was the problem. He said he would check everything, but expected that would be the problem, because they do not work with most well water. Turns out he was correct. After ensuring the well system was not the problem he tested the water. It was out of the specs for the water heater. I had to pay another $5000 to have a water softening system installed.I Called Garthwaite figuring they would want to know for the next job proposal that uses well water. Turns out they knew about the problem. I was told "Water is the clients responsibility". Not only did they give a more expensive system than I originally wanted, they knew it probably would not work.

Professional, prompt and caring. It's nice not to just be an account number. I feel like despite the volatile fuel prices they actually care if we pay too much. Looking forward to many years of great service. Very pleased with every contact from service to telephone calls.

Best in our area. Highly recommended, and it was right on. Great service, polite and experienced installation and service men, reasonable price for new furnace and tank, answered all my questions.
