DO NOT EVER GET PELLA WINDOWS AND DOORS IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY! Their customer service is TERRIBLE, once you sign that ******* contract they forget about you and they gaslight you. I wont ever forget how TRAUMATIC of an experience they made me go through, all the calls and rescheduling that they forgot. I wouldnt wish it to my worst enemy

I own a window and door replacement company and Pella has always been my go to. Last summer they decided to s**** every vendor except the local Pella franchise and quoted 24 weeks for standard windows and 32 for a 1/2 round. My customer agreed. Then the *** wad pushed out to 37 weeks for all of it! At the same time they said they said they fixed ***s. We ordered for my parents house we are building and lead time was 3-5 weeks (standard sizes, will be in sooner than the ones ordered last June).The night before our windows were due in (yesterday) they pushed out to Feb 1st. Tonight they updated to "pending," so they're pushing it out again?Surely lying about lead times to get sales is illegal. There's no way you could estimate so badly all the time. And waiting until last minute is unacceptable. My guess is they're promoting their monopoly at the local franchise but after backpedaling from s******* every other vendor they're still inconveniencing those companies. I'm not going to the local office, I'll just find a different brand for future jobs-and sell reliability and honesty from the beginning as my justification for higher prices. Meanwhile, you've stolen precious, mild weather when we could be installing windows and siding. Shame on you!

My name is ************************* and i placed my widows order in the amount of $37,361 thru Charter Lumber in April 29 2022. When i first got my quote for the windows i was told they will be ready in 24 weeks. After i payed the windows i was told they will be ready December 12, that is more than a month later than the original quote. Two weeks later i got another email stating that my windows will be pushed again until December 22nd.Today is the 21st of December and i got another email that my windows are pushed again until January 18. Im already scheduled to brick the house January 2nd. Charter Lumber and Pella Windows are not to be trusted.

My last 13 posted reviews on ****** were 5 stars for other companies and services. This 1 star review breaks that streak. This review regards the Pella **********, ** location. My advice is BUYER BEWARE, pay close attention to the many 1 star reviews on the ****** site and on this BBB site too. Complaints pretty much have the same ongoing theme, a problem arises and it becomes difficult to impossible to reach the local ************ calls go unreturned, voice mails not responded to, and text messages go unanswered. The Pella *********** is much much more cooperative but when a problem arises, Pella Corp responded to me that the ********** location is independent and Pella Corp has no control over what the independent location does. In my case, we had a diagnostic visit in November 2021, we were charged a $150 fee for some Pella patio doors and windows. The rep diagnosed nothing and I told him that I would like some touch up paint and a couple of screen clips. He assured me no problem for these minor items and said that they probably had them at the distribution center and would bring them out to me. Weeks passed, no response, so I called the rep and was told to the effect my bad Ill follow up and get back to you. Weeks passed, called again same response then didnt respond to 4 more calls voice mails and texts and these are minor items. I requested a refund of my $150 for this lousy job where no benefit was received from this visit only frustration. I finally got these simple items from corporate. The ********** office refuses to refund the $150 and actually tried to defend the reps actions saying no one had ever complained before. Well, I have now! The corporate office is very apologetic and empathetic but said they had no influence with the Birmingham independent location. Lots of nice slogans from Pella like continually strive to provide superior customer service, etc. Dont believe these slogans which are just words. Review the other 1 star ratings on ****** and this BBB site. BUYER BEWARE!
