On 5-24-24, While driving through Grand Rapids, MI, my 2010 ***** VNL 730 semi truck went into limp mode and shut off displaying on the dash "transmission ECU service required", but all of my dash lights, head lights, turn signals, hazards, and interior accessories still worked. The truck could not be driven, so I had it towed to the nearest dealership being M&K Truck Center of *****************, **. Since this was the begging of Memorial Day Weekend, the dealership could not get the truck in their shop until the following Wednesday (5-29-24). On 5-29-24, the dealership called me stating that the truck required 4 new batteries. I questioned this a little bit, since I had just replaced all 4 batteries within 1 year prior, but decided to let them replace them anyway. A little while later, the dealership called again and stated that when they went to hook up the new batteries, they burned up a lot of wiring on the truck, and now nothing will work including dash, head lights, turn signals, hazards and interior accessories. I believe that while installing the new batteries, a cable got hooked up wrong, and it shorted out the rest of the wiring on the truck, including the *** and engine wiring harness. after replacing ***, engine wiring harness and other burnt wires, they charged me $8,020.73. I picked the truck up on 6-12-24, and it was not running correctly. I called the dealership back, and they told me that there is nothing that they can do to fix it. I took it to another repair facility, and they found that numerous connections on the engine wiring harness were hooked to the wrong spot, or were not hooked up at all. They also found that the new *** may also be faulty. The truck is currently still at the repair facility as of 7-11-24.Initial Complaint

M & K Truck Centers has been consistently overcharging our company for IFTA and repairs. Let me start off by staying that they are filling IFTA with incorrect data (at least not the one I have reported and I have detailed reports). I have send my fuel reports on May 1st (which by the way is the deadline) for filling IFTA. Since I sent my fuel reports on May 1st, they have simply not included fuel even though I have fuel reports and technically this is INCORRECT data. IFTA can be amended at any time. It should have been amended but instead we were charged 10K for IFTA for 4 trucks.. This is outrageous! In addition, we had an issue with their estimates for repair for a truck. The estimate was set at approximately $16K for accident damages. Our insurance adjuster is estimating $12K and stated that parts were changed that were completely fine. We hired a second private adjuster and he came at $11,800. I received no explanation as to why there is significant difference in estimate.Every month for the past 6 months, we have been having billing issues with M & K Truck Centers for various reasons. Not much of justification was ever provided.Initial Complaint

This complaint is being made against M & K Truck Centers located at **************************************************** 48174.On 6-8-2022 I took my truck to M & K Truck Centers to be diagnosed as to why the truck wasn't regening. During the course of several days I was told several things were causing the problem as to why the truck was not regening. I agreed to all repairs and on 7-12-2022 I paid $11,282.74 and was told the problem was fixed. On 7-18-2022, I took the truck back to M & K Truck Centers and informed them the truck was not regening. They took the truck back into the shop and later on told me I needed to replace the turbo. I declined anymore service because I was told they had fix the problem already. I had to pay M & K Truck Centers an additional $1,128.01 for their diagnosis. I told them I was still under warranty and shouldn't have to pay for them not fixing or overlooking the problem. I am requesting my $1,128.01 back from M & K Truck Centers because I shouldn't have been charge for any inspection and was still under their warranty. I have all invoices, receipts and emails. Please contact me at ************** 0r ***************************** for any questions or concern/or return email.*********************************Initial Complaint

I took my tow truck to their business for service and I had it towed in because it was in (limp mode) meaning the truck was in safe mode because of a fuel issue. I had that fixed and needed some other repairs but didn't have it done because I could do them myself or cheaper. I did ask if they would do a regeneration after I cleaned the fuel and they agreed, I went and picked my truck up on Tuesday, August the 30th, and refueled it, and took it back, They did a regeneration and I tried to come and pick it up and now it doesn't start, I am filing this complaint for the record.
