I paid a deposit of $3000 dollars for two mobile home doors, and wooden steps, The total cost was $4300. this was on May 5th, 2022. When I called ***********************, the owner, as the weeks passed, I was told there was a shipping problem with the doors and he could not deliver the steps unless I paid for the gas. I went so far as to ask for a deposit back but he refused. He was very rude on the phone calls and if I questioned anything, he would turn the problem back onto me not being a decent person. Finally on August 13, the steps were delivered by a vendor of A-1 quality. On Saturday, August 20th, his two sons came out to install the one back mobile home door. When finished the back door would not open without scratching the door. They told me I would need to have my mobile home ****ed up level, and they would bring a **** with them to level the door when they came out to install the front door. When i conferred with a neighbor, who actually installed doors, he said all they had to do was raise the door frame a half inch, which there was plenty of room to do. I called **************** back to request to have them comeback to lift the doorframe instead of ****ing up the mobile home, I was told to shut the **** up. I informed **************** that i no longer wanted to deal with him. I now have to pay someone to install my back dooir properly, which was left unfinished. Moldings were not put back and not insulated well.Business response

No refund is due to this customer. In fact, she owes $1,900 and the contract states there is no refund on special orders.
I would prefer to never work/speak with this customer again. We are done!

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your rejection of the business's response.
Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below: I don't know how I owe this scammer any money, when I gave him $3000 deposit for the installation of two doors and steps, which is over half the total he charged ($4300). I have copies of the original bill and copies of checks which I can provide as evidence. I have the steps and one door(that was left unusable, half way installed). I know I will not see any money or the other door I never received from this scammer. I would like to see this complaint I filed on your website when any person inquires with the BBB about this so-called business [You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please type details
