On August 5th, 2020 took my 2019 Tacoma in for an oil change, told the service advisor I didn't want my truck truck washed and was stated on my paperwork "no wash". After they did the oil change they ended up washing the truck with my rear window opened getting my backseat of the truck wet. In the backseat of my truck was my work things (that got wet from the wash). They took the truck back and dried my seat off and I left. When I got to work my work stuff that they got wet was a portable battery charger for phones, that got shorted out from them washing the truck and burnt my truck to the ground. The dealership is refusing to pay for the damages they caused. I've tried to work with them on this and they don't want to work with me. Back when I when I got the truck on Nov. 5th, 2019 they let me leave the lot with no Insurance on my truck. This dealer is unprofessional and should be ashamed of themselves. They don't care about the customers at all. Now because of this dealerships mess up, I'm stuck paying almost $56k for a truck I can't even drive anymore and is sitting in my driveway burnt to the ground.Business response

Unfortunately this is nowhere near the truth. The customer had neglected to pay his insurance, resulting in it getting canceled. The customer's vehicle caught fire at work, with his insurance canceled he unfortunately did not have coverage to replace it.
We have talked with the customer's attorney, who also agrees this is neglect on the customers before, and have since helped the customer into another vehicle.Customer response

The dealer let me leave the property with no insurance on the truck, I have a repair order and a photo before I went to the dealer and while the truck was burning to the ground. I told them not to wash my truck and it states on the repair order customer states "no car wash". They washed it anyways because they didn't listen and left the rear window opened. I made every insurance payment and the dealer is lying about the insurance. They need to pay the truck off and refund me the monthly payments from Aug 5th to current date and I want the $725 stored fee back as well. Customer's should not have to pay for dealership's mess ups.
