Originally on March 19th, 2024 I had brought my Outback in for service. I had informed the service advisor of a water sound coming from the dash. I had advised I had already tried burping the system myself and was unable to get the bubbles out of the system but after a few days I would see coolant on the bottom engine cover. The advisor informed me that the technician would test the system and if there was any issue (including head gaskets) they would be able to diagnose it and get word back to me.March 27,2024 I was given the vehicle back with these notes:"Technician performed cooling system leak test-states no leaks at this time-technician tested headgaskets and vehicle staying at operating temperature. Technician found air in cooling system-technician burped system to correct clients concern. Road tested to verify repairs. Complete. (39- ************Clair-M284555)"While picking up the vehicle I had noticed coolant on the lower engine cover but was told that was due to having the system burped - then drove home with no issue (5 miles). On March 29th, 2024 I needed to help my father move a storage unit and drove 35 miles there and back to get it done. Half way home my engine dash light came on due to overheating and had to tow it 15 miles back home.I returned the Outback to Hodges and now that the head gaskets have failed the estimate is $3,000+ to have everything looked over and repaired. I'm unsure how this would have gone unnoticed with the tests that were performed according to the notes 2 days prior - and I'm being told they're not to be held responsible for the head gasket failure this entire situation had caused.After speaking with the service manager I was told there was nothing he could do and that this has now gone from a $500 repair to over $3,000. I feel all of this could have been avoided if the proper testing was done and addressed the original issue.

I bought my Subaru Accent from Hodges. ************************* gave me excellent customer service through the entire process of finding the car I wanted and purchasing it. They gave me top dollar for my trade in. I a bad experience at two other Subaru dealers that are closer to me and am glad I drove the extra miles to Hodges. I still drive there for my car maintenance even though there are closer places I could go.
