At a company event at the fowling warehouse in January, 2023 my husband slipped in a pool of beer that someone had spilled on the floor in the playing area. Multiple signs are posted saying that drinks are not permitted in the area, so my husband hadn't been on the lookout for a wet floor. He went in, assuming it was safe and dry. He slipped in the pool of beer and suffered a serious hamstring tear which required a trip to the ** and multiple months of physical therapy. Videocameras recorded the incident at the warehouse, I have photos of what remained of the puddle after he slipped in it and photos of him on the ground, and I have ** and physical therapy receipts as well. The Fowling Warehouse management initially promised their support when I asked them that night about reimbursing our expenses and again when I communicated with them in the days and weeks ahead about reimbursing our expenses related to the fall, they checked in several times to see what he was doing, and they requested copies of all of our medical bills and receipts, which we provided to them. When he first fell, they asked if they wanted us to call an ambulance. We've only had to call one other time, and that was a V**Y expensive ride. My husband's colleagues hoisted him into our car and I drove him right to the **. I am very glad now that we refused the ambulance ride, as we'd have been on the hook for that as well. It should be noted that we did not sign any kind of a release. Then they started failing to respond, passing us around, and ignoring our requests for payment. Last week they informed us that they will not be reimbursing any of the claims that we submitted - which totaled $1000. I have photos of the fall/floor, copies of all email correspondence with them, and copies of all related medical expenses. I am attaching photos of the fall and the floor (realize that he'd slipped and landed in the puddle, so what remains is a glossy wet floor rather than a puddle because he soaked up much of the beer) and medical receipts, which we've already sent them as well.
