$13,586.58 DUE 06/12/2024,Issue prompted company to come out, dampness seaping through concrete foundation floor. My basement had a waterproofing system installed years prior to them inspecting the issue. Their salesman stated that our system was no longer properly functioning due to iron ore buildup that their solution would fix my issue and i would no longer have a problem. Project manager as job was in progress reassured this would fix the issue. Called them out after the job was finished they said they would break up the concrete per the owner and resolve the issue by sending a crew back out. They sent one guy and he put a sealer on it. Still having issues. Company tried back tracking what they would do and what the problem was. Tell me why did you accept the job for you to fix my issue then lie to me about the dampness tried saying that's how some concerts dryes clearly not as I'm having a worse problem then before and in the same area.Business response

A service tech was dispatched to the customer's rental property. No moisture or water was found during the inspection. We performed a free maintenance check on their drainage system. Everything is clean and working properly. A meeting has been set up to meet the customer at the property.Initial Complaint

I purchased a house 2 years ago that had work done by Foundation Specialist LLC on the foundation walls to stabilize them in 2017, with a 25 year warranty.In the last few weeks, two cracks have appeared in the basement, one on each corner of the 2 walls that were repaired. All but one of the steel beams they installed were loose. Foundation Specialist came out and put some shims in between the existing I-beams and told me they could add another I-beam and steel adjustment brackets. They provided me with a proposal for that work. On page 1 of the proposal it states that there is a 25 year warranty. On page 3 under warranty limitations it reads: (6th line down) Contractor disclaims all warranties in connection with this proposal. I emailed the contractor who **** up the proposal two times with questions about the warranty and the specs and he did not respond. I called the owner of the company, and followed up with an e-mail 3 days later and he also did not respond. I have had 2 contractors I have had 2 other foundation repair companies come in to look at the work and give me proposals. Both companies stated that (1) ********* are not spaced properly, and (2) ********* and supports do not cover the entire wall, so it will not evenly support the wall. They also stated that the way ********* were supported only by wood was not going to hold the wall. The original work was not done correctly. They are not standing by their warranty, and it appears that they are now disclaiming any warranty in new work that they do. They are refusing to respond to me. I have provided more documentation in attachments. I am requesting a refund of the original amount charged by Foundation specialist LLC. I question the legality of stating there is a warranty and then disclaiming the warranty in subsequent pages.Business response

FS performed basement wall repair at the address in 2017, another foundation contractor also performed repairs for at or around that time for the previous homeowner. Years later the house was sold to the current owner. FS was contacted by the current owner due to a water concern on the basement floor. FS did not perform any previous waterproofing repair but sent out a project manager to investigate at no charge, FS found that the customer dehumidifier was leaking water. While the project manager was there, they inspected the work that was performed 5 years ago and recommended we have one of our tech's come out to service and tighten the structural repairs at no charge. The customer did not know the other company that performed the foundation repair work, customer called multiple ******************** repair companies to try to find out who did the work as the main concern area in the basement is the area where the still unknown company may have installed the pier. FS also explained the warranty and terms and conditions page to the customer and is scheduled to meet with the customer at their home again this week to see if any additional work is needed as we are still unsure of the work that was performed by another contractor. FS 100% stands behind our warranties.
