I shopped at the Carmel Indiana location and was provided with only 80% of the items purchased to take out of the store I did not realize that items were missing; therefore, I called the customer care service number, to no avail. Finally got to speak with the Carmel store via several calls to corporate. I explained the problem to the store manager. She responded that nothing that I was missing was present. They weren't in my possession!Review from Anita Z

REally read the fine print when they text you offers to earn points. I received one to earn extra points making Frederik of Meijer purchases. I did not receive them because I was told my purchases didn't qualify. The link from the text to the app didn't give me that info. When I contacted customer service they gave me a long list of not qualifying purchases. Deli, bakery and on. What are Frederik's items if not deli, bakery, packaged foods. What BS! REad the fine print. After about an hour on the phone, back & forth emails, I finally received the points "as a courtesy".Review from GODDESS A

I am disabled and every time I shop at this gas station Felecia a black gas station cashier teases, taunts, bullies and harrasses me, I have made multiple complaints against her and she continues to harrass me. Something needs to be done about this situation. I should not have to go to other gas stations to get my gas as Meijer has a point system that gives you points when you shop there.Review from Dee G

Products stocked one day then discontinued the next with 5 different reasons explaining why per-the 5 employees asked (i.e. - test this yourself; go ask 5 different employees why the Meijer-brand 64oz High Protein whole milk isn't stocked and see how many different explanations you get), and that's all when you're able to even find anyone to question about products as 9 times out of 10, they're nowhere to be found. The "Splash" water bottles can't be opened without water dribbling out of the plastic bottle due to how thin the bottle's walls are vs. how tight the lids are fastened to the bottles are (you go to turn the lid off but can't without squeezing the bottle itself just enough to leak water out of it due to how much force one needs to twist-off the cap when opening for the first time). They have 7oz (round) stackable glass jars that they haven't been restocked for almost 3 or 4 months now and I'd explain where they're located if their website ever worked well enough to show that information beyond just the "aisle" coordinates (because I guess every store has the same aisle locations?). Their meat department is a joke: They rarely have any steaks out in their display case and when they do, it's almost always so thin that you'd think their only customer base are 80+ year-olds. They used to have all kinds of unique sodas, but I guess those weren't worth keeping stocked (i.e. - their own Meijer-brand 12-pack sodas, Bob Marley sodas, Tran Quini sodas, et al.). They never have any frozen lobster like you can get over at Wal-Mart, never keep their sleep aid pills in-stock, their cologne selection is always in disarray, and apparently they don't even stock butane as nobody in the store knew where it was since I couldn't find any... And there's still no changing rooms for clothes!? Pathetic. I mean, it's clear as day nobody cares about anything in these stores--or at least, not at the Terre Haute, Indiana location. I'm surprised it's even still open.Review from Markeya T

On September 28th I visited the local Meijer in East Lansing MI #52. Right before noon I went there to get a coffee from the Starbucks I paid for a coffee and the employee gave my coffee to someone else the customer literally touched my coffee so I said I would like a new cup of coffee do you know that he made me a new coffee with the same dirty cup so I asked for a refund the manager (who came out of no where) told me that I have to go to customer service I asked for a receipt she gave me a receipt with the wrong drink and cost so I went back to her and said this is wrong, she tried to tell me that her employee gave me change back and I told her no she didn't and I would like to speak to a manager well the manager never came tell my boyfriend came into the store and requested a manager now one of the employees at Starbucks said right out loud get these people out of here, we're African American she's Caucasian what did she mean by these people? Not only was it hard getting my money back but the disrespect and the racial comments are unacceptable. The manager that did come she literally heard the employees being disrespectful making racial comments. She did offer my money back for the drink and gave me a gift card that says we need the customers they don't need us that is a joke. Don't worry I threw the gift card away because I will not be returning to a store where I was racially discriminated against. All the employees in Starbucks didn't look clean and it makes sense from when he made my drink in the same dirty cup. This place is disgusting!!!!!Review from Margy C

get a notification that my bank account is below my $50 alert and automatically check to see why since I knew there was no way I could be. I see two separate transactions for the same day, knowing I only should have had one. Naturally, I called my bank to figure out what had happened. They said they weren't sure and to file a claim when I found my receipt. Luckily, the Meijer members get a nice feature that keeps track of all of your receipts, which backed up my claim. Just in case, I also contacted Meijer's help line. They forwarded me to the director of the exact Meijer the purchase was through. We found that I had, in fact, made that purchase, but it was a little over two weeks ago!!! When I actually had the money in my account to support said purchase. That is absolutely not okay. Especially not right now with money being so tight to the point where I have to budget my, already tight, purchasing. I will not be doing any major shopping here from now on. I started shopping here when Walmart started lying about their product prices and now I can't even trust this place.Review from Colin B

Portage Ave. store South Bend IN Couldn't get the clerk watching the self checkout to come and give us help when the machine wouldn't allow us to pay for our groceries. She kept going over to other red lit machines that had come on after us. She even went to the side and started talking to a customer on the other side of the barrier. Finally, she headed our way but veered off and then helped someone on the across from me. After that, she turned to walk away even though I motioned to her that I needed help. Totally ignored me and walked in the opposite direction. I yelled as loud as I could that I needed help. She still ignored me. At that point I was considering leaving all my bagged groceries and going across the street to the Walmart when a short woman approached from the opposite direction. I thought she was another clerk coming to help. Oh no. She said she was a manger and didn't appreciate me "yelling" at her employee. I told her I wouldn't have had to yell. "Hey lady, I need help here" if she hadn't kept avoiding us. Do you think she would have asked me first if there was a problem or if she could help me? No. All she kept saying was that "yelled" at her worker and she didn't appreciate it and didn't want it to happen again. I told her it wouldn't have happened the first time if the woman wouldn't socialize and put red lights in the wrong priority only doing the ones closest to her. She didn't care about any of that. She kept harping on me about raising my voice, which I had to do because it was crowded, noisy and the woman had turned her back on me once again and was walking away. Her focus should have been to help me, give the woman some help since she was incapable of tracking the proper sequence of red lights or giving the employee some kind off remedial training or a talking to. Everything was backwards and I was the villain not the injured party.

100 Norton Ave Store Norton Shores, MI cashier rang up purchase order--next thing you know two debit cards, U.S. Bank and Chase Bank cards, didn't register through their card reader. Rolled shopping cart out and past a few vacant checkout aisles and passed under plastic security chain to check out through self checkout lane on other side of their cattle call side where non paying customers are isolated before paying for merchandise. to start process all over again.. Coupons & returnable bottle receipt were still behind at last failed transaction attempt. Retreated from self checkout carousel and went to customer service to see if one of two previously failed debit cards will work to purchase a $22.00 money order U.S. Bank card worked first time--no problem. I have the receipt to prove it here! Rolled the cart bag back to original cashier--same aisle and declared "want bottle receipt & coupons returned!" Next thing you know receipt was returned and a two dollar credit for coupons was put in my hands--thank you. Next thing you know an ignoramus named Mike S with necklace and name plate saying :"security" at one end is escorting me out of store implying police are on the way. Well next thing you know I'm on a city bus to Meijers Harvey St. store. Purchased same items with one of two fully funded debit cards. U.S. Bank Card worked without even having to try fully funded Chase Bank card. Customer Service has no explanation other than call "call your banks" about your cards. I submit to Meijers and the public at large their debit/credit card machines are so fouled up with grease, fur balls, and who knows what else the connection between computer chip/magnetic strip is so fouled up with gunk, not every transaction is possible.Review from Tanja B

Pharmacy Dept. I hate leaving bad reviews but this meijers has really let me down. I had a prescription called in on Friday. A text notification let me know it would be in Saturday after 3. I I did not receive a notification on Saturday that it was ready but I wasn't concerned at that point. But when i called at 710 on Saturday the pharmacy was closed and i had no notification that the med was further delayed. Now I called this morning ( Sunday ) and they told me they won't have the medication till Monday !!! This is not a rare exotic medication it's quite common. I need this medication and i don't understand why I could not have been notified that there was a such an unacceptable delay. I would look somewhere else for the medication that I need. I don't think there's much of an excuse that big old Meijer cannot come up with a system to let people know that they have to be high on dry for more days on meds that they need.
