Owner of the company, easily dispose of employees that do not been to his will. I began in August 2022 and was held in pretty decent regard until driving accidents happen with the equipment. Wow those accidents were 100% my fault, I was recently terminated for no apparent reason, aside from lack of motivation. And when asked to meet with the owner in person to discuss other possible options as to why he believes such a thing, he went down a list of incidents that happened in the very beginning of my career with the company. He brought up nothing recent. He just needed an excuse to get rid of someone. For a good while, they were also taking 30 minutes of time from our checks for lunch, which isnt legal because we never take lunches. I do have another contact who can vouch for this as well. While the issue was fixed, it was still illegal. the owner of this company has also taking money from employees checks who didnt show up for work due to being sick. This much I cannot prove, but I have overheard him speak about it. It is a very good company, but the owner himself, needs to learn modern social skills if he wants to keep himself afloat. The company also purchases mattresses, adjustable bases, bed frames, etc. for manufacturers at regular price and then up charge customers double the price. A very foul practice in my eyes.

The complaint is not from a customer but a disgruntled employee. His multiple accidents have cost my company over $20,000 in vehicle damages, including a recent accident to a trailer for which there was no excuse other than not paying attention. Shannon is a good guy with a good future, just not with Sleep Doctor at this time. We wish him all the best. Also, according to Michigan labor laws, and employee is entitled to a half hour break for lunch in an eight hour day. Whether or not they take that lunch is up to them.
