To start, , their customer service is less than acceptable, their so called “warranty” is a comical joke, and their prices are 3X what the vehicles are worth. I 100% believe after we entered a lease from them that they take them straight from the auctions to the lot without checking them over, check engine lights on every last vehicle in the Benton harbor lot, one riddled with bullet holes, flat tires, the list goes on and on, I found what seemd to be the “best” vehicle on the lot and 2 weeks, the transmission goes out, I had to fight tooth and nail for them to replace it. After 3 weeks without a vehicle I get it back, great right? Absolutely not…….1 week after being back from the transmission replacement, the engine starts making noise (I’m fairly mechanically inclined) they wanted to argue with me that they don’t cover engine work, so again I pull out the warrenty paper that I signed and pointed out to them they are legally obligated to repair it or let me out of the lease at no fault and boy they didn’t like that one bit. Fast forward after a ton of back and forth about it they finally put it in the shop. Finally a win right? Wrong again, 1 whole month this time with no updates until I refused to make a payment then that got their attention and now the car was moved all the way up to their in house shop with no authorization or notice, I’ve paid more on this car to sit then actually drive it at this point, so to avoid the headache of trying to share a vehicle with my wife again we decided to go buy another car from a different company that’s 5 years newer, 100,000 less miles and about $8,000 cheaper with more features. It’s been about 2 month and they refuse to bring it back to us after taking it so far away without notice….unfortunately I think I may have to spend even more money for a car I can’t drive and hire a lawyer to get me out of this ridiculous lease with express auto. the business is ran extremely shady and poorly I can’t recommend them to anyone.Review from James C

Totally awesome people Dave is the best bought an enclave extremely happy with it I would tell anyone to buy from Dave this man is a very good Christian family man took care of me real good I will definitely Tell everyone I know to come here to get a car he is reasonable honest and his cars are extremely nice!! I bought a vehicle from express auto on November 15, 2023. It's now January 17th and I still do not have my tags. I have been paying for a vehicle that I can't drive. I called and asked for a credit and was told that they could not credit my account. I am paying for a vehicle that I can't drive. I feel like I am getting the runaround from all the staff in Kalamazoo. Be careful who you buy a vehicle from.Express Auto, Inc. Response

This is my 2nd vehicle from them the 1st is paid off.This vehicle has been problems from day ONE said they fixed it NOPE had to bring it RIGHT back...I took it for a estimate and there was over3000$s worth of repairs I'd only had the vehicle MAYBE 2months although it was in the shop more then I drove it.Now I'm being THREATENED with garnishment they should've known the condition of the vehicle BEFORE having it on the lot as I was told "IT WAS THE BEST ON THE LOT"BULLSHIT .... I'm pissed and feel BETRAYED also the vehicle was under warranty and it was hassle for ANY repairs.Mad I gave them my business TWICEExpress Auto, Inc. Response

This is a terrible business run by liars. I would give this 0 stars if I could. I went in with my son to get a car and first they lied and said my son couldn't get a car because he hasn't been on his job long enough and needs a cosigner. As this is being said, the bank called and said my son is qualified to get a loan and they didn't know why Express Auto was saying he couldn't. Then after they give him a car to test drive it dies on him and they couldn't get it to start Then the second car they give him has a Crack in the windshield the whole length of the windshield. So I ask why they are selling junk cars and he says well we sell them like this incase someone cracks the windshield whole they are test driving it. They are nothing but liars and crooks and are trying to take advantage of people Disgusting!Review from Mamabear

Express auto should not be in business anymore to be honest. I truly feel they are scamming every customer they have. When we got our first car; which was also our first car from them, we had major issues in a month with the car. We had to have parts and pieces that would normally take a year or more of wear and tear to be fixed within months after signing; we had work did to the car every month on the after the papers were finished, the car had warranty and all the issue's were covered yet were never properly fixed which became the cause of the repeated car service trips made. We had that car barely a yeah before it basically went out on us; thankfully our children were not in the car. As we tried to find a solution with them to the issue; we had to deal with a lot of unprofessional attitudes and rude assistance just to have us go through the whole processes again, basically reapply all over for another car with them and they felt taking the whole broke down death trap car off our account was a favor. As we finally got our second car we had a small hope things would be better; especially since the old rude half job unorganized crew had left, boy was I wrong. They over charge way to much for what you get, no car dealership is really willing to trade in cars from them, every accountant we had has been rude and unprofessional, not to mention the thick folder of receipts for all the work needed to be done on just the first car, and the stress we went through I would never recommend them to anyone. We can't wait till we get an opportunity to be done with them. Today adds to the proof; we pay our car note on time all the time this month no different but because our payment got stuck and noone double check they figured we didn't pay and cut our car off, thankfully no emergency use of the car was needed before we were informed of the shut off of the car which was done because they thought we didn't pay from them not finding our payment.... unprofessional and unorganized. I deeply feel they should be investigated cause they are giving good people bad cars not good people good cars as they say.Express Auto, Inc. Response

All they did was call to clear their name, which all they doing is living up to it. Once again a problem they worked on before is back with my power steering, which is a hazard to drive so we are basically stuck at home because express auto them selves are booked up till the 10th along with their partners up the street so now we are going to have to pay to get it fixed somewhere else not to mention the manager who called and wanted me to contact her whenever something is wrong is unreachable till Wednesday. I guess my son will be missing his autism program till we can figure out how to get this death trap #2 safe and reliable. I really regret getting a car which mind you came with a warranty not an as is with this company . They have no good quality used cars and they charge you way to much, they try to get you to pay a new car price for a lemon a used lemon at that. All they care about is their reputation and the payments not the customers do not get a car from here its a trap, you can't even trade it in to get a new with other places cause they don't like how the cars are high priced with low value. It's funny how it took me saying something on the BBB to even get a call from them to act like they care and are concerned when I filed a complaint a year ago with them in their company.
