Toons are taking on water with no repair resolution. I have had the boat into the dealership multiple times to repair the welds on the toons. I reached out to Manitou directly after the dealership had missed timelines and failed to repair the boat. We spent a lot of money on this boat and bought Manitou solely to keep the money in Michigan. Manitou responded and said the only option is to continue to work through the dealership. This is very frustrating because you buy a boat to float not to take on water. I have had these toons welded on multiple times and am really leaning towards involving a lawyer to get proper resolution. Seems to be the only option I have left. I am very frustrated that buying a brand new boat and having issues with taking on water, these toons should be replaced. Repairing them is obviously not working. I work in manufacturing so I understand sometimes there are issues during the builds but it needs to be made right. We have lost too many weeks of our boating season due to these issues. Lifetime warranty on the toons... Does that mean continue to weld on the same issues season after season?Business response

Thank you for your response. I have investigated the hull ID number ************ and learned that our ***************** Manager has been reaching out to ***************************, an authorized Manitou dealer, regarding a warranty claim filed earlier in the year by ***************************. Despite his requests for photographs and more detail, there has been no response from the dealer. Manitou will support the dealer to repair or replace any component on the boat that meets the criteria of the warranty statement. We have once again requested this information and are awaiting a reply so we may move forward accordingly.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:this is the same issue I have regarding the dealer. I do not get accurate timelines for repairs and I also get no information from them. The only information I did get was from the first time it was in for repair. They stated its cracks at the welds and they were able to fix 95-98% of it but could not complete a pressure test. This leads me to question if they did even try to pressure test being that there are no bung plugs in the outer toons. I have recently shored my boat for the season. When I was taking it across the water, even my ********** noticed I was listing real bad. When we put it up on the trailer, you can visibly see there is a lot of water on one side of the boat. I am very concerned about the freezing of the water in the toon(s)and creating more problems. I can email you pictures of the boat but I am unable to attach here.
I am very frustrated with the lack of service from ********* and tired of having our boat welded on EVERY season.
Sincerely,

Thank you for notifying us of ******************** response.
Thank you for your inquiry. I'm sorry to hear of Mr. ******************* style="font-size: 0.875rem;">frustration.
To properly address this concern and attend to any warranty related issues, the pontoon require evaluations by an authorized Manitou dealer to inspect, troubleshoot, and advise the necessary repairs. Our records indicate on July 23, 2023 a warranty claim was filed by ***************************, an authorized Manitou dealer. Additional information (i.e.: photos, service reports, repair invoices) was requested by the Manitou warranty team, to date there has been no response from the dealer. At this time the claim remains pending.
We are happy to assist with the diagnosis and repair of any defects in manufacturing or production. However, without sufficient information we can not determine the best solution for the concern.
I suggest **************** continue to work with *************************** or the authorized dealer of his choice to address this issue.
Thank you for allowing me to revisit this complaint and explain our position in this matter.

Complaint: 20652323
I am rejecting this response because I feel that I am unable to get a proper response from *********. I have no trailer to tow the boat to a different dealer. The next closest dealership to me is just over 55 miles away. This makes things very hard. I feel that I am stuck with this issue and it will keep repeating. I am looking for help to ensure that this issue is fixed and finally closed out. The freezing temperatures we have concern me that more issues will arise being that there is water in the toons and it will freeze at some point. I don't trust that ********* will correct this issue as they have stated they were going to put in a warranty claim for new toons the last time I had it with them. When I asked ETA for delivery, they stated there were none on order. I should not have to be dealing with so many issues with a brand-new boat. I am not sure if the next steps would be to seek legal counsel or reach out to the ***************** for help. I am getting the impression that the manufacturer is not willing to help or cannot ensure their vendors do right by the customer. It is apparent that there is an issue with ********* being that Manitou cannot get answers from them- imagine being on the consumer side of this.
Sincerely,
***************************Initial Complaint

in August of 2020 I traded in my 2018 Manitou Pontoon Boat ($24,300.00 Trade / Downpayment) and ordered a new one. The new boat was to arrive in the spring of 2021. In April of 2021 I contacted the dealer and was told the boat should be in May. The months of May, June, July, August came and went without my boat. It was re-ordered in September of 2021 as a 2022 model. I learned in January of 2022 that my boat was not going to be built. I contacted my dealer as well as customer service at Manitou Pontoon. I was last told that they will try to find me a pontoon boat. I have asked to speak with the factory rep several times and have not been contacted. I traded in my 2018 Manitou Pontoon in because it did not come with the features I was told it would have when ordered. I took a hit on trading it in after only two years so I could get the boat I needed.
