Creekside animal hospital misdiagnosed my dogs health issues. On approx 10/26 the vet performed an exam on my dog ******. The vet did not do a full exam as she should have. She sent her home with antibiotics. After a week her condition did not improve. I reached out to the vet and she then prescribed allergy meds over the phone knowing allergy season was over.I even sent pictures to their email of the issue happening and not improving. Those meds did not help with her condition. I called multiple times trying to seek answers or to get another appt for re-Eval, I was told the next step was an exploratory exam of the nasal passage which would have been over $800.00 on top of the almost $400.00 I already spent. I seek another vet for a second opinion which is Chesterfield animal hospital. *************** instantly said the dogs tongue is swollen and causing the issues of the drainage out of her nose. He prescribed her 3 meds to control the swelling and antibiotics to cure the infection she has. 2 days later my dog is feeling much better and DOES NOT have the drainage from her nose. Creekside was guessing on the diagnosis and charging me for their unknow answers I reached out on 11/27/2023 asking for a refund for the amount h ave spent at their facility and I was declined in that. If I would have done with exploratory exam it still would have been another Mis-diagnosis on their part again. They really need to be investigated for their quality of care.Business response

Response from Creekside Animal Hospital:
On 9/18/2023, A phone call was received by our front desk team from owner *******************, stating that ***********************, ****************************, was sprayed in the face by a skunk. She was advised to bathe the dog and flush out eyes with eye wash saline solution and monitor. If further concerns presented, to call us to set up an appointment for an exam. 10/26/2023,****** was seen by one of our veterinarians, ****************. The owners concerns were that ****** was hacking/coughing/sneezing with production of clear material. Pet was seen the previous month at Grosebeck Animal Hospital on 9/28/23, where she was treated for an upper respiratory infection with Amoxicillin and **************************** Services were provided from Creekside Animal Hospital to check inside her chest with thoracic radiographs. Upon findings with the xrays, the veterinarian had some concerns and was given permission to have the radiographs reviewed by a local veterinary specialist. A different course of antibiotics was sent home for the upper respiratory symptoms, Doxycycline. A phone call follow-up was performed by one of our Licensed veterinary technicians following the 10-day course of antibiotics. At that time, 11/6/2023, the owner then spoke with **************** in regard to the findings from the specialist review of the radiographs. It was concerning that ****** was still having reverse sneezing episodes, they discussed seeing if it was allergy related and was sent home with allergy medication and if no improvement on those we should schedule a re-check examination. 11/16/2023, the owner called to discuss the episodes again and that she would have a reverse sneeze episode and then would produce phlegm. **************** asked for her to come back in for a sedated exam to explore oral and nasal cavities, possibly getting a sample for a culture. An estimate was provided, and the owner declined to schedule an appointment at that time, said she would call us back. 11/21/23, Owner called us requesting medical records for ******, which we complied and provided to her to take the pet for a 3rd opinion at Animal Hospital of Chesterfield. 11/27/23, ***** called to speak with the office manager requesting a refund for her visit with us on 10/26/23. Our office manager discuss that Creekside Animal Hospital provided care and services that are standard protocols for upper respiratory disease. A refund for those services would not be provided to the owner.
