Alert

On December 18, 2023, BBB Serving Eastern Michigan and Upper Peninsula investigated Connect Shipping for its business practices. An investigation was prompted by consumer inquiry and BBB Scam Tracker reports alleging a) job seekers were contacted about a work from home mail forwarding opportunity. b) they were told that the company obtained their information from an employment website. c) they were told they would be paid monthly to inspect, re-label or forward packages. d) on their pay date, they are unable to log in to their work dashboard and Connect Shipping did not respond to phone calls or email requests for assistance. e) they later received a fake letter purporting to be from U.S. Postal Inspector McNamee.

According to information in BBB files, "Connect Shipping" has the hallmarks of an employment scam designed to convince job seekers to receive merchandise, add a new shipping label, and mail it to another location. In addition to forwarding packages, consumers have been asked to use their credit card to purchase items to be shipped to others. One consumer told BBB “At one point a lady named Kayla called me from Connect Shipping and said I was offered a promotion to a Purchasing Agent position and asked if in the transition period I could use my personal credit card to purchase items. I told her that I didn't have any credit cards and she told me that it was ok that we could wait on a corporate credit card to come in the mail to me.”

Mail to 19600 32 Mile Rd #2A New Haven, MI 48050 was returned by U.S. Postal Service. The business has been unresponsive to phone calls, and emails to info@connectlogisticsus.com were never read. The website connectlogisticsus.com was created on 10/12/23 and the registrant’s name remains private.

If you are currently in communication with Connect Shipping, Connect Logistics US, Dash Connect, if you receive a letter from U.S. Postal Inspector Steve McNamee, or a Fed Ex bill related to this scheme, please **discontinue communication** immediately.
