On July 14, 2022 i made a purchase from The Sharper Image for a Portable Evaporative ****** Fan. The cost of my order was $220.36. The method of payment was PayPal Credit. According to *****, they delivered the package 7/20/22 @ 12:17pm and left it at the garage. No signature required.No one was home at this time. The driver left it by my garage which is on the side of the house instead leaving it securely at my front door, which in a screened in porch under video surveillance. ***** dropped off the package in my driveway when NO ONE was at home. The driver DID NOT place the item securely in my screened in lanai that is under video surveillance of my Ring Doorbell. This would have alerted my neighbor to pick up the box and sign for delivery. A proof of delivery/signature was not obtained or required from Sharper Image. When I came home that night from work the box was opened and empty of the fan in my driveway. The product was stolen because it was not securely left. I contacted Sharper Image and they told me they could reship it to be picked up at a local ***** facility. I work during the day and the ***** pickup location would be closed by the time I got there. I had to goto a local store to purchase an alternative. I needed this fan for a party for my 83 year old Aunt on Sunday, 7/25/22. A replacement would not have reached me in time, I requested a refund. I started a claim with ***** - Claim ************. The denied the claim because the shipper (Sharper Image) did not require a signature. I disputeed the charge with PayPal credit back in July, and Sharper Image claims the item was delivered so a refund is not goign to be given. They said they would reship. I purchased a fan elsewhere and now just want my money back. I have been getting no where with this since July. Why would Sharper Image not request a signature for an expensive item? Please assist me in getting my refund back to the method of payment!!!
