Causey Consulting filed a claim with my insurance company for damage after a file. I have a signed contract that they would take the inventory and file the claim for a 10% fee of the claim payment, but the payment was to be made out to them and they'd pay me the insurance settlement, less the 10% fee. Liberty Mutual paid Causey Consulting LLC a total of $14,861.10 on 10/20/22. We had several back and forths since then about when we could expet the funds. The last email from ******* Causey, President, was dated 12/6/22 and he indicated a Cashier's Check in the amount of $12,665.65 would be sent to our new home address no later than Friday, 12/9/22. I sent an email on 12/14/22 to confirm he'd sent the check and what address he'd sent it to. No response. I waited until Friday, 12/30/22 to email and tell him we'd been very patient and that if he didn't respond we'd take further actions, including negative online review, filing complains with BBB and other agency, and maybe even contact a lawyer and the police. We have not heard back from Causey Consulting since 12/6/22. All we've heard so far is that the payment was going to be rushed and "Check's in the mail" so to speak.
