I delivered boxes from my old apartment from ********* to ********** , it arrived 2 weeks late from original date, 4 boxes came broken and open with everything broken inside, I filed a claim to get some money back from whatever arrived broken and i didnt get nothing from them after 2 months of conversation Stay awayReview from Jane R

The ** contracts Central Transport for a small number of appliances, for example the Summit fridge. Central Transport did NOT do the job and duped us TWICE! Ineffective communication, drops off obviously damaged items without telling anyone, drops huge boxes at incorrect location on a residential street without informing anyone and left one of them on the street overnight, repeatedly goes **** says "we're coming in the morning" then shows up two days later after 4pm without notifying anyone, denies all responsibility, tried to make me and ** eat the cost of their errors (in the end ** gave their customer our rightful refund, although CT hasn't resolved the issue with **...in other words, CT still has the damaged fridge almost 3 weeks later). CT created so many hassles for everyone else. We will go somewhere else and, yes, pay more to actually get the job done. (How many fridges have been damaged by CT and just get thrown into landfills???)Review from Vladislav K

This is absolutely the worst shipping company. DO NOT USE THEM. I do not know how they are still in business after scamming their customers. They LIE about the weight of the package and upcharge you absolutely ridiculous prices. They add on additional charges after the shipment is delivered without any notice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.Review from Jody W

Private owned company who doesnt care to pay their drivers good enough wages to be competitive with other LTL companies. They force you to use your PTO days even if you have an emergency and ask for it to be a non paid day to save your vacation time. Their policy is if youve got them you HAVE to use them for any days off thats not a holiday or weekend. Proof of that last sentence is, about 2 weeks ago 5-21-2024 I arrived for my shift at 6 am. I go to do my pre trip, it was loaded in ********* and brought to my terminal in *******. Did NOT have a seal on it, this is a common thing with their drivers not sealing loads. I put a seal on it, finish my pre trip, then continue to leave the yard and start my run to Prescott ********. When I exit the gate, freight spills out all into the street! Turns out that a new hire, who had NO business opening my trailer, did so after I inspected my doors being shut and adding a seal to it. So in turn I call my dispatch and tell them Im resigning, in the heat of the moment I was highly upset as any professional driver would be who takes his JOB, also his and others SAFETY very seriously. After I cooled down I spoke to Will in HR and explained the situation. I explained to him why I got so upset and also explained I dont want to learn central after 5 years of service. But the unprofessionalism has to stop! Well he didnt like how upset I got so he said we will just honor your resignation then no need to return to work. Now, remember forcing you to use your PTO? Well they kept my last check, this is a common practice of theirs. They FORCE you to use pto, but then if someone leaves or gets fired. They keep their last check because the pto says taken were considered an advance on your pay. Crooked, unprofessional, underpaying privately owned company who doesnt give a hoot about their drivers, you are just a number. Steer clear of this place, if you want a good workplace, this is not the one.Review from Raymond A

Central Transport was our carrier of choice for the last 10+ years. Unfortunately 2023 will be our last due to a recent issue regarding an arranged delivery. We arranged for Central Transport to pickup from our warehouse in ** and deliver to our buyer in ***********, 3 A/C units. The pallet mysteriously disappeared in transit or as they state the pallet was "LOST". They are only willing to pay $862 of the $1869 net cost of the goods to us as a claim. We also lost the profit from the sale as our buyer purchased from another supplier because of this. I'm out the profit from the order and $1067 from my cost of the product.Review from Tracy T

Horrible delivery company. Ordered 13 bags of fertilizer through *********** received 8 from Central Transport, who ********** hires to deliver online orders. Deliverer told me to contact customer service, who for two weeks, said they were doing "dock checks" and then told me to file a claim. Central Transport denied the claim. Lost $302 from 5 bags of fertilizer. I will be following a complaint at ********** (as they hired Central Transport for delivery and technically I paid them.Review from Paul S

I am so frustrated with this company. I have two pallets that left ********** on 8/25 and arrived in ****** on 8/28. For the past 11 days I have gotten the runaround from them. Every excuse imaginable: no drivers...your shipmen is delayed because you requested a liftgate...we're backed up with heavy inbound volume...Here we are almost 2 weeks later and they can't set a delivery date.I have zero faith that they will ever deliver it and am begging the shipper to recall this and reship it with another company.I cannot recommend using this company in any way, shape or form. Central has been, bar none, the worst trucking company we've had to deal with. Unfortunately one of our suppliers prefers them as they're cheap, but the lower cost comes at a massively high rate of problems and extra costs down the line. Constantly late, damaged freight, attempts at every added fee they can possibly lie about, and customer service that is either non existent or a dreadful mess to deal with. Our latest shipment was the worst, where the pallets had been absolutely destroyed and box after box was damaged and the products unusable. So Central naturally dropped it off at our doorstep outside of our business hours on purpose so we couldn't deny it, and they've been atrocious as we try to file a claim and get them to accept the damage. It's not as if its a massive cost either, they just absolutely refuse to accept responsibility for damage that they caused and are fighting tooth and nail not to pay a dime, with unreasonable demands and a lack of response to anything to get it taken care of. It is now to the point that we will be switching to a different supplier if they continue to use Central, as we know that every shipment through them will have a litany of problems. Avoid this horrible company at all costs, pay the tiny bit extra and get your freight shipped through a company that can actually handle it.Review from Amos S

I wish you could leave 0 stars, and I hate being that person, but this company is very unfair with their customers. I used to have an account with them and after a year not having to ship anything I got a quote to ship a package to another state and I was quoted ****** but after it was picked up they said my account was no longer active an they would keep the package at their terminal until I paid them ****** and it would have to be a wire transfer, which is not easy. In the meantime while I spent several days trying to figure out how to do a wire transfer they sent the ******* dollars worth of goods to salvage, and luckily I called in time and I ended up being recoverable,and they again asked for more money because they had to recover it , at which point I told them if they don't have the package back at my house by a certain time I would file a lawsuit, which they did, so long story long don't ship with central transport!!! It's not worth the cheaper rate.Review from Treavor B

Avoid this company at all costs. We have used them for the last time. After losing two decent size customers due to their inability to deliver product in the condition it was put on their truck. One shipment arrived completely destroyed (product over $10,000 in value) it was over 7 days late getting to the destination and in the end the freight company tried to offer us $123.00 total to cover the claim. The latest shipment arrived with the shrink wrap removed and part of the shipment missing. Our pallets are shrink wrapped with LARGE COLORFUL SIGNS THAT SAY DO NOT STACK !!!!! Well it appears that they stacked something on top of the pallet and destroyed the content on top which was later removed by their employees. We submitted a claim and their logic was (since the claim was submitted on day 6 after the product was delivered we are denying this claim). Well maybe we should deny your response because it took you 3 months to respond to that claim !!!!!! NEVER will I EVER use this disgusting pitiful example of a "company" ever in my professional career EVER again. We ship well over 300K in freight a year just in the ** / Canada.... Central will see ZERO of it going forward.
