They are absolute crooks! I called for a emergency repair on a Saturday, they were there a total of 10 minutes, said my cooler was low on freon. And they didn't have any on the truck, charged me $370.00 for them just driving to me even after I told them it needed freon. Why go on a emergency repair without the rite parts needed for the repair, and why not call the person to let them know that they couldn't fix it. There is no secret of what type of freon my unit takes as they have been there before. Why go to a job and charged a person $370.00 for not fixing the problem and not being able to fix it. We apologize that your experience with us that did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, when ************** arrived on the Saturday call for the diagnostic visit, they found that your walk-in unit was low on refrigerant. The refrigerant used, RS44B, is not commonly available as it has replaced the phased-out and expensive R22. Since most supply houses are closed on Saturdays, it became challenging to immediately address the issue. According to our records, our team made sure to brief you about all the costs prior to our visit.Over the course of our conversations and visits, our technicians addressed the possibility of installing a new unit due to the refrigeration leak. On a subsequent visit to refill the refrigerant, we asked if we could fill the unit in order to keep it running for as long as possible. When we left, the unit was operational, and we sent a quote for a new unit that would eliminate the leak and prevent any future issues.We sincerely apologize for any confusion we may have caused. We would greatly appreciate it if you could reach out to us at your earliest convenience, as we would like to discuss this matter further.Review from Chris S

I was in need of a part to repair my AC during the hottest summer on record. I went with this company because they had a decent price on the part (not the best), but more importantly offered expedited shipping. I ordered with 2 day air on a Friday afternoon. Apparently they needed me to confirm my order before they would ship it. I missed this email because it went to my junk folder. By the time I got to it, they were closed and would not reopen until Monday. I dont blame them on this; but it adds to the overall experience. Monday morning they send me an email saying one of the two parts I ordered was not in stock, and they would have to get it from the supplier and it will cost me over $100 more.1 I only ordered one part. 2 they should be honoring the price they listed on their website. Because of this bait and switch I am stuck in this heat for an even longer period.Technical Hot & Cold Response

This company is SUS. I placed an order with Technical Hot & Cold, and then received an email that the price has increased 45% and "I just need the 3 or 4 digit CVV code on the back of the card you used to place this order"This is unethical at best. We are sorry for not having correct pricing information on our website. We have been experiencing an unprecedented level of volatility in the supply chain, and pricing and availability from our distributors has been changing almost daily. This particular part has been on backorder for 9 months now, and have been trying to source this in the quickest way possible, which was from a new wholesaler who informed us of a significant price increase. We have corrected the pricing on our website and never charged your card.Customer Response

Still not understanding why I placed an order for an advertised price, then you put your revised price onto me. I did offer to split the difference with you but you didn't accept.And again to say you didn't charge the credit card I don't think is entirely rue. My wife and I both saw the charge come in because we discussed it. The charge must have been retracted fast enough not to go through or you put a placeholder in and that is what we saw.But it baffles me that you cancelled the order without my consent. It is shady that you did that right after telling me the price was now 45% more. I wrote that I didn't agree with the business practice of increasing a price after placing an order, and then you canceled the order. Again, ***** didn't put the price on your website. And I offered to split the difference as a way forward. You still cancelled after I would not pay your revised pricing. The only good news from all of this is that I had another of ************ ******************* install the parts yesterday and I am connected to theKumo Cloud. Worse place ever... they came out and "fixed" our problem temporarily they said and cost $900. AC dis not work even one day and they refuse to refund anything or come back to fix. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional on so many levels. Definitely will tell everyone I know to never even think twice about using this company.Technical Hot & Cold Response

Thank you for your message. We have reviewed your account to learn more about your situation. Our records indicate that on two occasions it was explained, prior to the work being completed, that the repair was a last resort before needing to replace the system, and that if the freon leaked out, there is no warranty. While we do understand this is frustrating, we did appreciate you then contacting us to request a quote for a new unit. We were told temporary ********** through summer...Did not last one day. Clearly robbed us and you were aware we were not happy with it not working once. We did not even think twice of getting a new AC unit from your company and when we called to ask for any kind of refund since it did not work one day we were told you will do nothing nor even refund a *****. So don't lie on here when called out. Very unprofessional.
