Incorrect fertilizer put down / burned lawn out.Business response

In the fall of 2023, I aerated and applied fertilizer to the lawn of *****************, just as I did in 2022. I used the same product both times and there had never been an issue prior. They claimed that they didnt know what happened to their lawn, so I offered to come out free of charge to apply grass seed. I told them they would need to heavily water, as it was a dry fall. This spring I went out again to reseed, free of charge. I told the wife again that they would have to heavily water, as the winter was also dry. She called again a month after the second seed application and wanted more seeding, I stopped responding to the texts, as they continue to want free services. The reason their lawn is in the condition it is in is because they are not watering as I have recommended. I applied the same product to over 76 lawns in the same season as their treatment and not one person has had any issue with their lawns. I have gone above any beyond to accommodate them.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Olivers response has several incorrect inconsistencies.Oliver outdoor services applied our 2023 fall application. Soon after we noted burnt spots throughout our lawn.
When we contacted them for an explanation he stated it was due to a dry season. As he knows we have an irrigation system so the burnt spots were not due to a lack of watering. He told us he would apply lime and seed this 2024 spring (vs a fall application that he had to do for a neighbor who had the same burn issues as we did.)They did show up this spring and "completed" a quick (less than 10 minutes) walk through lime and seed application (with no aeration, instead laying seed upon the burnt out spots).
Nevertheless, We set our irrigation system to water daily, in addition to a fair amount of rain; and yet nothing grew.
Since they told us ************;provided the quality seed they used we reached out to ******* regarding the lack of germination. When we inquired about the bag olivers showed us they stated it was a very basic general mix seed and they would not recommend it for a mixed sun and shade lawn. (***, He also "applied" another quick application to our neighbors lawn which also did not take.)
We have since contacted the * of Mn extension service to complete a soil evaluation of the burnt out areas in addition to having several reputable lawn care services evaluate our lawn situation. All have stated our lawn issue was due to an inappropriate fertilizer mix and incorrect reseeding application.Olivers Never communicated with us (or our neighbors) after their ***** reseed.
Going forward we have chosen to work with a reputable local company as we consider our options in dealing with the past issue of their inappropriate lawn application, as well as their ***** "lawn application solution."
