I filed a complaint on *******, whom I still believe is part of this scam. I was on a call for assistance (gov't) after holding, a *** picked up and told me I was eligible for a $100 gift card. I accepted and paid s&h w/ debit card. He put me on hold and said I would hear recorded ads and I was under no obligation. I said forget it and he said don't worry. I heard an ad that gave me no choice to not subscribe to it. When the *** got back on the phone I was livid and told him I would be charged. He insisted I wouldn't and I was charged upwards of $86.00 until I caught it and cancelled my card. He said he was with *******. Several companies were charging to my debit before I caught it. I filed a complaint with BBB and they responded ***orting an invalid claim. Later learned the company's name is Membership Services. Yet the place I called was a ******* in ************, *******. I tracked the charge to a ******* there. That was the second company and he refused me and said he would send a form for refund. The first company Uncontacted did refund my money. It wasn't easy dealing with these people. Then I received an envelope filled with leaves for different companies after they had all begun charging my debit card which I cancelled. The places matched the leaves in this envelope. I called one other which was a $50.00 ******* gift leaflet. I was so angry and the guy answered and sounded exactly like the one who scammed me in the first place. He asked if I called to activate the 50 dollar gift card. I told him no and I would never shop at ******* again. He laughed at me. He sounded exactly like the one who hacked the original call. I have talked with that agency, finally. The calls wouldn't go through after the ******* gift card ordeal. It was about 2 weeks before I got through and now after countless hours , late fees for insufficient funds on my bills on auto pay, due to having to cancel my card...I have to do ***orts with the department of justice. Not invalid. *****Review from Norman M

Big Time THIEVES. I wrote to the BBB: Sempris LLc dba Home Play and ***************** has been fraudulently charging my debit card for products and services I never agreed to nor have I received any benefit from. I have been forced to close my bank account to prevent any further DBCRD Payments. Home Play has been charging my debit card since February 2023 (I was hospitalized in January 2023 & did not come home from Rehabilitation until May 2023). I am requesting a refund for 16 months $559.20 (16 x $34.95). ***************** has been charging my debit card $33.95 since May 2023. I am requesting a refund of $407.40 (12 months x $33.95). Total requested refund is $966.60. This is the response from SEMPRIS LLC: I can confirm that Mr. **** or someone with access to your payment card, responded to an advertisement from one of our partners and agreed to his membership after the purchase of a magazine offer. We sent him a welcome kit on 3/12/2023 to his home address in ********** that included how to access his benefits, claim his rewards, and cancel his membership in multiple ways. The United ********************* confirms delivery on about 3/13/2023. Additionally, our phone number to call to cancel has shown up on his bank statement for every payment/transaction that has taken place. His memberships were cancelled on 5/28/2024 when his wife called our call center, and he wont be charged in the future. He never contacted our customer service department requesting to cancel his membership prior to this. Our customer service agent issued a refund request letter on 5/28/2024 to be mailed to his home. To date, we have not received this form back yet. If he would like a refund, please mail the letter back and our *************************** will determine the amount of the refund. If he needs an additional letter or if he has any other questions, please contact our customer service team at *******************.NOTE: we NEVER received any refund request formReview from kimi h

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ANY TIME A CONSUMER SUBMITS A COMPLAINT AND THE COMPANY RESPONDS, THEY ARE CONSIDERED A+ WITH BBB BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY REPLIED. THEY DON'T HAVE TO RECTIFY THE PROBELM - JUST REPLY BACK.So, here's my story: Husband called to order vitamins. On the credit card there's a charge for the vitamins $69.99, a charge for a monthly enrollment $19.99 and 2 charges for something called WC Source and Taste 4 Savings that my husband did not authorize. When I called the number associated with the $34.95 fee and asked for a website for these companies, I was told there wasn't one. I asked what the products were and was told it was a monthly subscription program. TO WHAT? I will never know. My husband did not agree to anything accept the vitamins. Anything else was fraudulent and a scam. Then I called the number again and asked for a refund. . I was told I would receive a refund request within 10 days. In the meantime, I called my bank to cancel the credit card. I received a letter requesting an enrollmentverification/refund request. Mailed that back and received a letter that said "based on our enrollment records we are not eligible for a refund". I wrote to the address on the letter:Consumer Affairs Attention: Form C/A PO Box 658 ******* ** 55343-0658 And asked for a copy of the transcript/enrollment records. Apparently based on other complaints, they review a transcript where the consumer "emphatically" agreed to the purchase. Bottom line is we were scammed. The best thing to do is cancel credit cards and have bank reissue another one. Impossible to get a refund. And Sempris LLC - no need to respond us to contact your consumer service team for a resolution. Your only response should be:"YES, WE ARE PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS! WE WILL CONTINUE TO SCAM PEOPLE UNTIL ARMAGEDDON. WE WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR OUR GREED."Review from Angela L

If I could give negative stars or no stars I would! They have been charging my 80 year old Mom, two recurring charges for longer than I probably have even identified yet! I just took over handling her bills and saw these charges to her credit card. You call and try to talk to them and they insist she signed up for some coupon program and the other charge she never told me what it was supposedly for. First of all, my Moms phone has never let unknown callers ring thru, for the past twelve years, so they NEVER spoke with her to get authorization. Second, the only charges that have ever been on this card are the specific store purchases. When I tried to explain this to the person on the phone, she told me not to be rude and continued to say that the charges were authorized. Needless to say, that call was not beneficial at all.Sempris LLC Response

Found fraudulent activity on my bank card. Had to do some digging to figure out what this was for - apparently got signed up for some subscription service called "Essentials for Home". Calling the number on the transaction just gives me to an operator that has no clue what the membership and charges are for I'm out $70 for a subscription to a website for coupons. Very sketchy website - nothing there indicates what their business actually does - nor is there any presence online about them. The operator I spoke to could only tell me the name of the website. Even the company charging me can't even tell me what it does or how they were able to charge me in the first place. My bank has flagged them for fraudulent activity and will no longer be charged - definitely seems to be a scam. If I want to get my money back - I'll have to close the card they used and dispute the transactions.Sempris LLC Response

The phone call I received was definitely aggressive and multiple times I asked the man about the recording and he lied as I was charged by other company.I did speak with other company and they put money back in my account. This company is basically making us, the people think that its a great thing, basically a complete lie. They are lying to you as they talk, which is scamming, and I thought SEMPRIS LLC would be better than this.I received the letter telling me how my credit card will be charged every month for $37.95, log on and you get discounts. Was never mentioned at all during that entire conversation, not once. And when you log on to it, it falsely says your computer is now compromised, you need to call APPLE, which is another one of them using apple to sell more of their group. What I have a big problem with is the older people who will not go forth and read the letter clearly and see how they are being taken advantage of by that company who hire those employees who do what they are told to do and lie, do whatever it takes to scam the costumer to thinking its a great thing. This is wrong, this company should be shut down for falsely advertising and scamming. This is why there is so many of our elderly be taken advantage of due to companies like these.I do hope this will shed some light and something will be done to put a stop on this, start somewhere, starting here.If there were a negitive zero for reviews, I wouldve given that, unfortunately I had to give a 1 star to which they are not worthy ofSempris LLC Response

I was charged $24.95 monthly for months from WC Mon Savings Central. I did not notice the charges at first. When I called the number they stated I signed up for a bogus coupon savings program that I never heard of nor did I sign up for. They could not tell me how or when I supposedly signed up for this program. I have never received an email, letter or info from this company ever. ******* canceled the services but stated they would have to mail me a form for me to complete to get a refund. I still have not received this form and they do not offer any assistance via phone and do not have a website for this so called savings program.Review from Gene C

We were charged $ ***** in May 2022 and also in June 2022. We called to challenge the first charge for Essentials for Home and got Marketing Services. The customer service rep said they will cancel the service that we never ordered. We would just like to get a credit for these two unauthorized charges. We would like someone from Marketing Services or *********** or Sempris LLC get back to us so we could get a refund.Gene CReview from Kymberly W

This is a Scam. They will not give you the Originating source. And they will not shut down the charges. They transfer / hang up on you when you ask any questions or want answers. This company needs to be stopped!
