On June 26th I received a notification of a data breach from Consulting Radiologists. The letter explained that my personal data had been accessed by an unauthorized actor, but provided no compensation such as credit monitoring or any other remedy for their laxity. I would like the business to pay for at least a year of monitoring as compensation for not adequately protecting my personal data and health information.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this concern. Consulting Radiologists,Ltd. (CRL) realizes this is a critical issue and understands the concern regarding sensitive information, and deeply apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused.
CRL provided notice of an event that *** have affected the privacy of certain individuals information, and is notifying impacted individuals for whom CRL has a valid mailing address, via U.S. mail. The type of information at issue varies for each person. For those whose Social Security numbers were impacted, CRL is offering them credit monitoring and identity protection services.
In this instance, after investigation, the *** was not found to be impacted and therefore credit monitoring was not offered. CRL understands this news *** still be concerning. For peace of mind and protection, additional information and resources were provided in the letter that was previously sent to this individual.

I am rejecting this response because:
The business has provided no evidence that my SSN was not accessed. They have not contacted me directly.I never asked for this business to be involved in my health care; they are a third-party contractor used by the health network. I have had no opportunity to review their data privacy policies or security measures. As such, I do not believe that they are confident about what information was accessed and I still desire credit monitoring.
