In early August I was set up with an appointment at Associate Clinic of Psychology. I was very clear with the agent when setting up an appointment with Associated that the issue I was facing was that I was not able to get a hold of my medications after a job change and that I needed to get them refilled and care re-established. A few days prior to my appointment they call to confirm it and I ask if there's any paperwork or if anything needs completed and I was told no.. But on the day of my appointment, I showed up and was immediately handed me a 10 page packet of paperwork.When it came time for the actual appointment, the first thing I was asked by ***** (the assigned person to handle my "case") is what I'm there for and to give a bit of a background. I said I'm out of my meds after having switched jobs unexpectedly and my former providers were not providing coverage for my medications. The reason for this happening involved telling ***** a fairly short but important background about my job history and medication history, and though I was brief as possible, I was repeatedly cut off and reminded of our "short" time together (Not even 5 minutes in to a 60 minutes appointment yet!). When I told her I needed my meds and she immediately came back with "we will not be filling meds as this was a 'Crisis appointment'"!This was literally the reason for scheduling an appointment with Associated in the first place. I specifically called her out on this and after a few minutes I left the building. In the end, I left 10 minutes in to a 60 minute appointment. There were no "services rendered". All of the "Work" that was done was on my end, talking and explaining what I had gone through. Niether Associated or ***** did anything whatsoever. They lied to me, I was tricked into coming in, and charged $200 for doing so.. I refuse to be charged for services that were not rendered from a clinic that did not care, lied, and follows horrible business practices.Business response

We are in receipt of the complaint from ****************** We did not know of this complaint until we received your letter dated 9/19/23. Our Director of Operations, *****************************, has contacted ************** to discuss the matter. At the time of this writing they have not yet connect after leaving voicemail messages on his phone. Our intention is to review the complaint with ************** directly. Because this is a mental health service we prefer to speak directly with the client. We will ensure that ************** will not owe for this service.
