I purchased a car from University auto located at the time of perching was ************ and was financed through a separate company named Flagship. My car was totaled out at the end of August this year. During my time of ownership of my car Flagship changed my account number and did not provide me with written notice of the change and as a result caused me a late payment in January 2023. I have not been able to get the account settled out using my gap coverage due to the negligence to complete the proper documentation by either party. I keep getting harassed by flagship (the finance company to make payments for a car that I do have possession of. I keep getting bounced around and not receiving the necessary submission of required documentation to close the account with flagship. Lastly both parties will not provide my gap car coverage a written explanation regarding the change in my contracts APR as the final requested documentation.Business response

Ms. *****'s vehicle has been involved in a total out accident.
******************** insurance company has totaled the car and made a payment to the bank.
The payment is not enough to cover the entire balance remaining on the car.
**************** had also purchased vehicle service contract and GAP insurnace. The vehicle service contract has been cancelled and their refund is anticipated. Once that payment has been received, then a claim needs to be made to the GAP provider to pay any remaining deficiencies, if any.
During this time, **************** is responsible to maintaine her account with her bank. Her contractual obligation to make her payments to her bank and keep her account current does not shift to someone else such as the service contract company, GAP provider, or the original selling dealer, because she has gotten into an accident.None of these issues have anything to do with University Auto Sales. Therefore, we cannot "Finish the Job". However, if we can be of any help and assistance in "Finishing the Job", **************** is more than welcom to ask and we will be more than happy and ready to help. Ms. ****** has been a valued customer and we have appreciated her patronage.
