The technician arrived at my home 15 minutes late. I took him too the basement were you have plumbing issues-backup water. Technician look at the problem from the outside and went to his truck brought back a little black machine from his truck and ran a hose inside the skeptic tank. Technician by the name ( *****) was extremely unprofessional and stop back up the sewer again to cause it to backup again. The sewerage is still in the basement and creating a major problem and outside the door. The technician and I began to have a argument and I had to call the police. I pay the technician $550.00. I have called there corporate office. The police came and stated the plumber did the job in a very poor manner.

On March 13,2023, Roto-Rooter installed a new hot water heater at our residence. Total cost was $2596.42. Since that date, the pilot light is repeatedly and spontaneously extinguished. Roto-Rooter has come to our home 4 times and all 4 times has told us that this is not a Roto-Rooter issue. On the first occasion, Roto-Rooter technician relit pilot light and stated it was an anomaly. On the second occasion, Roto-Rooter technician advised that the gas pressure was likely too low. I (homeowner) called the gas company for a service call, despite that the previous water heater never had the pilot light go out in 10 years. *********** came and advised that Roto-Rooter could have checked the gas pressure, and the pressure is fine, and that it appears that they have installed a faulty product. On the third occasion, Roto-Rooter advised that a part may be faulty and replaced the small part using something he carried in his truck. On the second, third, and now fourth occasion (May 29, 2023), I have requested replacement with a new hot water heater and Roto-Rooter has refused.

Asked them to come give an estimate to replace the main water shut off valve for the house and they didn’t do anything. Claimed they took apart the valve and cleaned it and put it back together, which was impossible because they didn’t even shut the water off at the street (I have cameras pointing where the street access is and there’s no proof they turned the water off). Asked a master plumber about it and they said that’s impossible and they should have left the old valve open and installed a new shut off on the copper section of the pipe above the old shut off valve. ******** ******** (the plumber) also started trying to talk to me about my water heaters, which were never mentioned in my call for service. I cut him off and told him he wasnt even called out for that. They charged $366.00 to do absolutely nothing. I was not there, my tenant was. There was no evidence anything was done at all when I inspected the valve. All they were supposed to do was give an estimate— when he called to talk to me he said he fixed it— no estimate. Called them after looking at it and the call wouldn’t go through on my cell after trying seven times like my number had been blocked. Called from my work number and the call went through. I asked the person on the line to provide a list of of what was done and he couldn’t provide that basic info and claimed he had to speak to the plumber that went out and would call me the next day. To top it off they were looking through my basement in rooms where there was no plumbing at all. I’m filing this report in hopes they’ll do the right thing and refund the amount they charged as they did nothing at all. Googled their Arnold “office” location and it’s a UPS store. They have no actual office.
