Wed August 23, 2023 I had all my teeth extracted and fit for dentures. All except 1 tooth they somehow forgot and I had to go back 2 days later during healing process to have the missed tooth extracted. I was informed I would have up to 5 free “relines”. The dentures have never fit correctly, called to get a reline as the dentures are so loose I can’t eat and if I do try to wear them I get sores in my mouth. I was informed today they won’t schedule me an appointment for a reline until my balance is paid in full. I am paid in full for the service/product I received. They are saying I still owe $2,000+ dollars for work they did not perform and a product I never received. The money they say I owe a balance on is for premium dentures I have never received or even been fit for. After all the issues and problems and times they dropped the ball on my current set, I can’t imagine trusting them to pay more money for “premium” dentures when they have failed to provide me what I was promised originally. Now they’re refusing to uphold their end of the original agreement of the free felines by stating I owe money for a service/product I never received and a service/product they cannot properly provide. I would like the company to uphold their end of the agreement with the free relines or the false advertisement be removed from all their promotions, or file a lawsuit for false advertisement.Business response

I am writing in response to the complaint by patient ******* ******* He has stated that he was informed that he would get 5 free relines. I'm not sure where that information came from. I am including the consent he signed. It states the terms and conditions of the services. It shows in his treatment plan that there would be 3 Soft Liners before we delivered the final reline. He received the Ultra Premium Denture on the first day. We do not do a temporary denture and then a final denture. He gets the permanent denture for the start and then he gets a series of Soft Liners done to help him have a comfortable fit through the healing process. When he is done healing after 6 -8 months then we do a final reline where all of the pink part is redone. We will not do that part until his bill is paid in full. That is the final part of his service. The idea of the dentures not fitting perfectly as he is healing is expected and is even described to the patient on their first day. As he heals the gums and bone shrink making the denture feel loose. That is where the Softliners are used to reshape the denture for a tighter fit. This patient had their surgery in August and has healed enough time that they need to pay their remaining balance before we will do the final reline. If they get the final reline without paying then they are driving the car off the lot without paying for it. I am interested in where the patient says we are advertising 5 free relines.******** ** * **** ** *** ******** ******* ***** *** ******** *******

I am rejecting this response because: I was purposely mislead/lied to/deceived. Why would I pay more money to an office that gave me the wrong prescriptions, completely missed a whole tooth during extraction, didn’t make my dentures correct in the first place and have no desires to fix them when I showed them I had no bite in the front for the 2 relines I did receive. I purchased dentures, they do not fit and all of a sudden they will not honor their promise that they will fit and work. They do not fit correctly and I cannot even wear the tops! Their website says 100 day guarantee and I was called out of town for a family emergency. When I called them to make sure they would still help me since I was out of town, they told me they will not guarantee fit, wearability, or appearance at all. They essentially said I have to deal with what they gave me and I have no recourse or options to get them wearable.Business response

Attached is the 100 day warranty on the denture. We do guarantee that the denture will fit to the clinical standards in this first 100 days and if we cannot get the prosthetic to work for the patient the patient is welcome to a full refund of the denture. After a thorough review we were able to find that our new front desk staff misunderstood the question the patient had asked. This was corrected. We were able to get the patient in on 12/6/23 to have the resolutions begin and the patient is already seeing the changes. There is still work to be done but the patient knows that we will see her through on the full process to get the prosthetic to be up to clinical standards. We already have a follow-up appointment scheduled for 12/15/23

Hello: My name is **** ** **********. Here is my story. I am a retired veteran who lives on a fixed income. I have bad teeth and wanted to get dentures. Since I don’t have home internet, I called Medicare. A Medicare representative provided a list of qualified dental places to get a set of dentures. I visited Affordable Dentures & Implants located in ****** ** because its near my home. I don’t recall the date of the initial consult. I felt good about the visit and decided to move forward with getting the upper dentures. My procedure was schedule for November 17, 2022. I received dentures same day. I didn’t realize that I would have to comeback for additional adjustments. But, that’s ok because I wanted to get them right. Over the course of months, I went back several times for adjustments. After each appointment the dentures didn’t fit well causing discomfort and food build up. Finally in May of 2023, Affordable Dentures & Implants said the dentures are complete and should fit properly. That’s not the case (see photos). Here are the following issues: • Patch with large hole. • Another little hole four teeth from the patch. • White build up between the teeth. • Bite is off with my lower teeth in front. I’ve call both customer service and the ****** Office for a refund of the money orders that were paid. For a total of 4,155.00. I feel like I have been taking advantage of and been giving the run around. The website states the following: “If you're still not satisfied, we will gladly exchange your denture for a full refund.” This experience has caused me a lot of stress. I just want a full refund as stated on the website.Business response

For the patient **** **********,
We performed Extractions and oral surgery on the patient and a denture that included a healing package that would get the patient through the changes that his mouth would have as he would be healing. Upon full healing of the mouth the patient was unhappy with the denture. We had the doctor confirm what would need to be done to fix the issues with the denture. The doctor determined that the patient would need an additional procedure and that the denture would need to be remade. This was all offered at no charge to the patient.
The patient declined and requested a refund. The 100 day money back guarantee states full amount of the denture is refundable but completed work other than the denture is not subject for refund. The wording in this guarantee specifically does state extractions. Extractions were the only other services that were billed to the patient.
Attached is a copy of the Guarantee.
The patient was refunded the full amount of the denture and healing package. The only amount not refunded is the cost of the extractions.
Any other questions please feel free to reach out.
