I recieved medical services in July of last year. On the day of the procedure I was charged for complete services. Months later I recieved in the mail a bill for the exact same services. I then asked for an itemized bill of what I had already paid as well as an itemization pf the new duplicate bill. The clinic refused to provide an itemized copy of the old or new bill yet still maintains I owe for services that were already paid for in full.

In July 2022, Mrs. ******* ********* ******* received IVF Treatment with Fertility Partnership.    The patient had insurance and was able to use it for her IVF cycle.  We billed insurance in early August after her cycle was completed.  It can take months for insurance to respond.   Due to her deductible, coinsurance, copay and out of pocket, she was left $905.95 in her responsibility.    The insurance she used didn't pay anything towards her cycle due to her deductible.    From September 2022-December 2022 she was contacted 7 times by the billing company and then was transferred to collections.     Mrs. ********* ******* signed an insurance disclosure acknowledging what was left to the patient via the insurance company needs to be paid.   We did not bill her twice for the same services.   We sent her an itemized statement twice showing what was left in her responsibility.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I was not contacted 7 times. I was notified by letter twice, after which I called requesting an itemized list of what all was included in the 2700$ payment that was made versus what was in the 4200$ bill that was given to insurance. The items paid for by the 2700$ payment is the same IVF procedure that was then billed to insurance at a rate of 4200$.

This itemized list was never provided. The attachment provided is simply a list of payment transactions but is not an itemization of services rendered or their individual costs on the respective days.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******

We did contact her 7 times via phone calls and mailed statements.   We do and most doctors bill for more than the contracted price but this was due to Mrs. *******'s deductible not met.      She paid the flat fee and then she is responsible for the coinsurance, deductible, out of pocket and copays (if any).  I have attached a different statement showing what was billed to insurance, what they paid, what was adjusted off and what she is responsible to pay.  There is also a copy of her invoice with the billing codes.    We did provide these statements and they were mailed to her as well.

The bottom line is it is her patient responsibility from the insurance.    We didn't receive anything from insurance because she hadn't met her deductible.
