      Nothing but fantastic things to say about Gary's Auto Service STAFF! Professional, Friendly, Funny and extremely helpful. Thanks ***** ***** and ***** and ALL the folks in the shop!!! Wont take my vehicles anywhere else.

      DO NO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GARY'S AUTO SERVICE IN FLORISSANT! If I could give this place a NEGATIVE star I would! My husband's headlight fell out into the street while he was driving after he picked his car up from Gary's. This is what we paid for?! Are you kidding me?? First of all, my husband went in there and told him that there are three things he needs fixed. They told him as a courtesy they would do a diagnostics and send him a text with anything else that they find that might need fixing. He told them he doesn't want a text sent to him about any of that, he just needs those three things fixed. So they said they wouldn't bother him with that text. But of course they sent it anyway. This text was so confusing! So I called up there. They gave an astronomical quote, and I told them don't do anything, and we are coming to get the vehicle and taking it somewhere else. Brian is who I talked to, and he told me they would leave the key in the car, and leave the car unlocked, because it was going to be after hours before we can come get it. When we got there the key was not in the car. When I called the next morning and asked why the key wasn't in the car, I was told we have to pay $120 before they will give us the key. They said that is the fee for them to do the diagnostics.. (the diagnostics that we told them NOT to do!) Then he said that was the fee for looking at the lights to find out what's wrong with them, and he has to pay his workers for the work they did. (Even though they didn't fix anything.) So what could we do? Our hands were tied. If we wanted to get the key to the car, we had to pay them $120. So we did. And as soon as my husband drove it, the headlight fell out into the street while he was driving! You better believe I stopped payment on that check! Then when I called up there to tell them about it, no one answered the phone.

      Mrs. ******'s husbands, ***, authorized the the diagnostics. They declined the repairs and said they were taking the vehicle back to the shop that did the previous repairs.

      I told you he thought that "diagnostics charge" was the quote to FIX THE LIGHTS! THAT is what he thought he was approving! NOT TO MENTION, that was done through the text of the diagnostic of the entire vehicle that he told you NOT to do, and was told by your front desk girl that you WOULDN'T do! He does not understand that kind of stuff and THAT is why you weren't supposed to do it that way! And he was told you wouldn't! AND HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT FALLING OUT OF HIS VEHICLE ONTO THE STREET WHEN HE WAS DRIVING??? YOU DIDN'T EVEN HOOK IT BACK UP! YOU JUST SET IT IN THERE!! THAT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE! AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN RESPOND TO MY VOICEMAIL THAT I LEFT TELLING YOU WHAT HAPPENED!! NO PROFESSIONALISM OR CONCERN WHATSOEVER!!

      My ******** broke down and the tow truck driver said he thought it might be the fuel pump because everything was still turning on like the battery. Towed it to ****** and instead of putting the car on a diagnostic machine they said the car was starting and it seemed fine. I picked it up and after one hour it stopped running again. Towed it back to ******. Asked was the car put on the machine but didn't get clarification. After several weeks the mechanic **** said it was the Intake manifode and crankshaft. We paid ***** dollars and drove off on May 20th. On Memorial day the car stopped again. At that time the car stayed with them until **** called and said the fuel pump is now out. The car was misdiagnosed and it was always the fuel pump. I called for the shop manager ***** and he started passing me buck and giving the call to **** the mechanic instead of taking ownership of the situation. I called back on July 6th and the car was still not resolved so I had to tow it home. The manager ***** didn't once try to fix the problem or issue a refund. My car won't start and I'm out *****.

      I was referred to ****** by my son who had work done there and he had a great experience there. My ******** broke down and wouldn't start. The tow truck driver said it might be the fuel pump because the car had gas and the battery was fine. ****** said the car started for them and after driving for a couple of days said the car was fine. They didn't charge me so I was happy until after driving for one hour the car stopped running again. I asked did they put the car on the diagnostic machine. They weren't clear on that, so after several weeks with the car they said it was the intake manifode which we paid ***** dollars. After driving off, I had the car on Memorial Day and it didn't start up when I was at the park. It was towed again to the shop and held there for weeks through July 4th. ****** obviously don't have a diagnostic machine and the shop manager ***** wouldn't take ownership of the problem and when I was calling for him he kept passing the buck to the mechanic Nate who was in over his head. ***** disappointed me because he was the boss and wouldn't offer money back or seek a true diagnostic to see if it was the fuel pump. The mechanic did come back in late June and said the fuel pump went out in addition to the manifold. We think it was the pump all along. I was charged for one service when it was the pump. So I have to have it towed somewhere else.*******************************
