This business is as shady as it comes. They illegally towed my car from my apartment complex (on Labor Day). The spot they towed was a spot I paid for. Also, their responses below show how ignorant they are. ****. This place will be out of business in a year due to criminal complaints.Business response

******, If you live there then you have been informed of the procedure by your complex.. You obviously parked in someones else's spot in order for us to get summed out.. Our responses are straight forward its simple, you parked in the wrong spot , we got called, you car was removed! My car was towed illegally. The sign said maximum fee would be $425 but the next day they charged me $685. They only had my car overnight. So Im not understanding why it was so much.!Business response

The complainant was given a receipt with a breakdown of the charges. The property where she parked at has 8 signs also with a breakdown of charges.. The sign stated in bold lettering that any additional equipment would be extra. The complainant vehicle was a 4wd vehicle ( all wheel drive ) which required either the key are dollies , We did a private property tow so we don't have keys. Her not understanding is because she chooses not to understand. It was posted clearly , explained Clearly and lastly printed on her receipt. thank you nothing further.Initial Complaint

5/12/2025 $610 I'm a hospice nurse from **. God knows this was the worse experience in my life while traveling. They towed my rental car from a Airbnb downtown. I just walked out and found that my car was gone. I called the police who told me it was picked up by these low down dirty extortionist. They had my car 12h and they wanted $610. Even when I was willing to pay, they wouldn't give it to me unless ***** send them the title to the car, which hertz flat out wouldn't do. Their real address is ********************************************** Something they try hard to keep secret. It will cost you $35 with Uber to get there. I had to call the police just to get my things out of vehicle.Business response

We can keep going back and forth with this on every platform and the outcome will be the same. Twisting the story to seek favor dent fly without documentation to back it up. We never asked ***** for a title . when you contacted ***** you contacted their roadside and they contacted us we informed them like we informed you only hertz corporate can redeem their vehicles unless they send over on official letterhead that the renter can redeem. Roadsides said they are not authorized to send over a statement allowing you to pick up the car on letterhead. It wasn't a title it was a release Authorizaion . Your statement sounds far left please do not waste anymore of our time are your time. You parked in the wrong spot, Your vehicle was towed , no one at anytime was rude to you, you simply wanted things to go the way you wanted them to but they didn't . There will be no need to contact you as we talked to you several times while you were here. You didn't call the police because we wouldn't release property you called police after you came into our office demanding your car you rented. After we told you again repeatedly that only ***** can redeem it then you stated you would call the police if we didn't release it to you and we instructed you to go ahead and call the police and guess what you still couldnt get the car because you do not own it. Laws in ******** are different than Nc please follow them next time to prevent situations like these.. Have a goodday..

They say they needed the title from Hertz. ***** rejected this because of the horrible record of this business. I did have to get law enforcement on them just to get my things out of the vehicle. ***** office staff has a long history on multiple platforms of being rude and hostile. My god be witness to what happened to me.

Think about your fabricated story, If ***** wanted you to have the vehicle and we needed the title then why wouldnt they give us the title to get the vehicle back? BECAUSE YOUR STORY IS FALSE. You never talked to hertz corporate you talked to hertz roadside and they couldn't help you.. We have you on video coming into our office demanding your rental vehicle not property . We have a long history of people who are mad their car got towed for doing things they shouldn't have done. And once they realize there's a tax for being wrong they wanna blame us but not one time can someone show the level of rude they claim however each and every time I can prove the level of rude they were. I don't talk thru sites and reviews I show videos and recordings anytime you would like to go and prove your story I welcome it because we are well invested in our documentation for reasons such as this that would prove you are not being honest about what occurred. At the end of the day you parked illegally , your vehicle was towed, Your ignorance to the procedures and laws of Missouri is no excuse to continue to blast and defame our character . Once again have a great day there will be no further comment.

My rental car was illegally towed for no reason out of my garage. Will not recover my vehicle and is charging me daily for a vehicle they will not release to the rental car company. Im missing work and my children are missing school. They keep giving me the run around.Business response

*******, it is people like you that spread false and misinformation about us and the process .. we do not tow cars illegally the only illegal thing that happened is you parked illegally and or broke a parking rule at wherever you where towed from. Not having more info as to what kind of car and such theres not much detail I can get into. However in order for a vehicle to be towed we have to be called out . If you have an issue as to why you were towed then you would need to contact the property you were towed from . Secondly if you are not the registered vehicle owner you cant retrieve the vehicle only the rental car company can we release to rental companies weekly so your accusations of not releasing to a rental company is simply false . Rental car companies have a process into how they retrieve rental cars it always does take them a few days to pick one up if you have a problem with the time they are taking then you need to direct your energy towards them so the car isnt just sitting accruing storage . No one is getting the runaround its simple once they come into get vehicle they will. I do understand it can be frustrating but they have a chain of command they follow and protocols are in place so if we have their car they will come get it when they do. We provide a service its simple we dont make the rules we just follow and enforce them . Take care .

The ****** * informed me that they did not authorize the tow so I called the tow company and the said my car was to suspicious for the area and now they want 900 dollars to get my car out and they won’t let me get any of my belongings out of the car as well. ***** , it seems you may have gotten your info incorrect. In order for a vehicle to be removed we get called out and a signature is required for the removal of the vehicle.. We do not go round looking for suspicious vehicles . Unfortunately without details this can only be a generic response. I will say all vehicles are towed with consent from the property owner , manager and or security or lessee. Every situation is different. As far as price as I stated without details it cannot be answered not knowing when and why it was towed and how long before it was redeemed.Customer response

The car was not in the way of moving vehicles because it was stopped, I want to know why the tow company didn't ask 4 24hrs before towing someone's vehicle, I may even decided to try and get it fixed or had advice to. I'm not understanding the situationInitial Complaint

This past week, my car was towed from an area where the sign clearly stated the max charge was $350 + $30 / day. I went to pick my car up the next day and they charged me $580 cash only, with no recourse. That was the only way to get my car, so I coughed up the money figuring I would bring a case against them (through BBB and potentially small claims court).Business response

Hello ***, As explained to you several times to you and your father your vehicle had extra equipment needed and required dollies due to your vehicle being 4wd. also with any impound there is an administrative fee that is not required to be posted on the signage. My truck was towed from in front of my house of 10+ year on 3/11/22. A " no parking " sign was put up two days after tow by new manager at **************************, lists Asset Towing as the company $350/tow $30 storage/day. I called number posted and employee would not tell me any information regarding location of my vehicle. I tried to explain to her about trying to find location all weekend thinking it was a mistake and there was no sign until today with phone #. She denied that my vehicle was parked at my house.But wouldn't confirm if they even had my truck until I produced VIN# (Truck towed on ************** pm, it's now 1pm Monday)She says I owe $470 cash only. Bring driver's license and title. I told her I couldn't afford that. She says " you shouldn't of been parked on private property" I told her that I lived and lease at the residence they towed it from. She said "o'well" and hung up on me. I looked up Asset Towing address and says location is in ******** on ******* St. there's no tow lot at this location. Received certified letter on 3/16/2022 not signed or dated by tow drive and aPO BOX claiming Vehicle as "abandoned property". I called Asset Towing after receiving certified letter claiming property. Same female employee, and I now owe $530. I asked her where they are located and she says they are located on ***********************.Hazelwood, **. Asked if my truck was there she said "yes". Conversation ended. Was able to get ride to location and my truck is not on lot. Tow Truck driver was outside told me he would take me to truck after I paid tomorrow, office closed now. On 3/18/22 Called Asset Towing early afternoon, owe $620 ( increased $90 in 2 day's) inquiring if we could do a payment plan.. She tells me"NO Cash only!" I told her, "you can't just steal my vehicle"She replies, "Yes we can"and hangs up. Was able to borrow $700 on 3/25/22 Called to offer $700. (Total 13 days x tow =750) Same employee tells Me "NO, and I owe $870. Still haven't seen my truck.Initial Complaint

Our office staffed are trained to handle inbound calls regarding vehicle info. When and if you called in if you have the last 6 of the vin number they can assist you with info on pricing and redemption... I stand by my staff and know that if a caller is being civil and give the info needed they are able to assist..The number is ************. They cannot give you any info without the last 6 numbers of the vin that way that assures them they are given you the information on the right vehicle..Tell us why here...Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: You don't have to treat people the way you do. You don't have to talk to people the way you do. I was inquiring about paying off a debt and the situation was as unhelpful as could possibly be. I called back later after getting the information from my insurance company but there is absolutely no reason to treat or talk to people they way you allow to be done. It's that simple.

This company towed my vehicle from our private parking lot at my apartment complex, The sign at our building states that in the event our cars are towed, we are to call this business directly, with a maximum cost of $350.00. I looked up this company on google and it gave a wrong address. This company is now trying to charge me $430.00 for tow and also a $30.00 storage fee. I ended up having to call the police due to an escalated argument with them about our registration. This company was very rude, and would not help us on how to get our vehicle.Business response

Mr, ******** felt entitled when he arrived to retrieve his vehicle without the proper documentation that he was properly informed to bring when he called in before coming to retrieve the vehicle. Pricing is the same pricing stucture from the beginning of our start date.. As Mr ******** continued to feel that by saying he was a dr and by talking down to our staff would sway the protocol. When asked for proper paperwork the female that was accompanying him rush into the lobby yelling and screaming demands at our staff which got them nowhere and after they called the police they were in the same position as before needing to get the proper paperwork to show ownership of the vehicle. .Because of their non compliance to our policy and procedure and simply not listening the first few times it is their own fault the vehicle was here another day.. There will be nothing further done on our end.
