My vehicle was towed using tow equipment that was not appropriate for towing a lowered performance vehicle. As a result the vehicle was lifted by the front bumper and cooling system, damaging multiple components, as opposed to lifting by the appropriate lift points. I filed a claim with my insurance company and Metro Tow has been non-cooperative to the point of being rude, hanging up on my insurance adjuster and refusing to provide their insurance information. The tow cost $380 and the total damages for the vehicle are approx 3k. My deductible is $1000.Business response

Good evening ,
I am responding to a claim of damage on a 2009 bmw 1 series towed 06/06/2024 . I am including photos of notes documented in the call that this damage was already on the vehicle prior to towing it . We document everything in notes and photos of the vehicle when we get them . The damage that the woman is claiming is pre existing the front bumper was being held together by plastic zip ties and the cooling system was hanging when we picked up the vehicle i have also added photos of the zip ties that broke along with what the front bumper looked like before it was loaded on a tow truck and photos of the damage that was already there before we impounded it . This vehicle had damage all around the whole car scratches , dents , both bumpers looked like they had been pulled off the vehicle before and barely hanging on . Also this vehicle was in someones reserved and paid for spot and was already inoperable when it was towed . Also the customer signed the receipt that has a disclaimer we are not responsible for the damage right under where they signed. Im sorry but we cant help that this vehicle was not modified properly and was falling apart prior to them being on private property and being towed . I am rejecting this response because:We were forced to sign the receipt in order to get our car back, and we signed it before we saw the extent of the damage done. The images that you provided show that you have phots of your tow truck doing the damage and very clearly depict how it happened. The images show that the lifting arm of the wrecker was not fully under the vehicle and it was was only under the front bumper, the image even shows the bumper being twisted and pulled out by the wrecker arm. It is time to admit that the driver made a mistake and step up and resolve the issue.
