Contractor for roofing added an additional $4000 in charges and materials above what was agreed to in the bid contract. It was not communicated that they were to perform this extra work and I was not given the opportunity to refuse the added work.

When we went in to replace the roof on April 22, 2024 as we were removing the
shingles on the roof, we noticed bad wood on her deck. When repairing/replacing
roof we have to replace any bad wood before installing a new roof. Per the signed
contract, after assessing the repairs, the total costs were in total $7,720.00 which is broken down in the signed contract.
