We purchased a vehicle that was listed for auction from Sullivan Sales 7/2024. It was through an auto auction called Purple Wave Auction out of *********, **. We DO realize it was an "as is" purchase, HOWEVER, the vehicle arrived damaged. I will include photos of what was depicted on the auction versus how the vehicle arrived to us. When we got it to our mechanic, it was discovered that the vehicle computer had been unplugged. When they reconnected it, the vehicle read out 3 pages of problem codes, including the fact that it needs a $6,000 new transmission. When the vehicle was brought to the local sheriff for a VIN inspection, an Odometer rollback was discovered by the officer. We contacted Sullivan Sales, who blamed Purple Wave, as none of the above issues were disclosed in the auction listing.

Re: Response to Complaint Case #********

I hope this letter finds you well. We are writing in response to the complaint filed by ******* **** against our dealership, Sullivan Sales LLC. We take customer concerns seriously, and we appreciate the opportunity to address the matter.

First and fore**st, we would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the sale of the vehicle to ******* ****. Our records indicate that the vehicle in question was sold "as is," as clearly stated in our Buyer's Guide, which is provided to all customers at the time of purchase and signed by ******* ****. The Buyer's Guide explicitly outlines that the vehicle is sold without any warranties, either expressed or implied.

**reover, we h*** thoroughly reviewed the documentation related to this case, including a picture of the vehicle dated before the sale. This picture conclusively de**nstrates that the issue with the bumper misalignment was visible and documented before the sale was finalized. The Problem area is were the bumper cover meets the fender. We provided this dated photograph as evidence to support our claim.

It is essential to note that our dealership is committed to transparency and integrity in all our dealings. We categorically deny any allegations of dishonesty or misrepresentation. The discrepancies pointed out by ******* **** were, in fact, clearly visible before the purchase.

We encourage you to review the provided evidence, as we believe it substantiates our position that the issue was known and documented prior to the sale. It is important to acknowledge that the "as is" nature of the sale absolves the dealership of responsibility for post-sale issues.

Please feel free to contact us directly should you require any additional information or clarification. We appreciate the Better Business Bureau's commitment to fair business practices and look forward to a prompt resolution of this matter.

      Sincerely,

      **** ******

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
They never told me or showed me that the front bumper was like that nor did they say it comes apart like it does I would h*** not purchased this vehicle if I knew of this problem I don't understand why they would say they told me that and that it was noticeable it was absolutely not and the pictures don't prove anything they are stating in there letter. I believe what comes around goes around they should not be selling cars if they don't want to be truthful about what they are selling.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ****
