The service was not complete and I had to pay another company to do something that they did not finish. They refused to finish the job and they refused. I would like for them to refund to me what I had to pay someone else to do.

We were contacted by ********************** to convert her gas range from natural gas to propane. ********* went to the job site and picked it up and brought back to ********* service center. ********* performed the conversion of the entire gas range and tested all operations. ********* delivered the range and connected to the clients gas and tested all operations. Customer was given invoice with the disclaimer noted below:

NOTE: ******** range is a used appliance and shows wear and tear from the ***** years of use. ********* takes no responsibility in any faulty or failing parts or operations of this range. ********* has ensured the range has been converted correctly per gas type. Use and maintenance of the used range would be under caution for the client.

Client paid invoice. Approx 1.5 to 2 months later, client called in and said the oven was not operating correctly. ********* dispatched service technician to clients home and service tech diagnosed a failing oven thermostat control. Due to the age of the equipment, ********* was not able to find the parts nor were we able to make a repair. The client was not charged for the service call nor the attempt of repair. *********************, Owner, called the client and let her know that there was another company locally that might possibly have the aged parts and the owner of the other company would possibly be more familiar with the ***** year old range. *********************, Owner, contacted the other company to let them know what was taking place and they could contact him about any issues they might of seen. *********************, Owner, spoke to the alternate repair company and they were able to repair and fix the issue. ********************* had contacted *** demanding we reimburse her the alternate service companies invoice because she felt that ********* should of been able to make the said repair. *********************, Owner, explained to her that since the stove could not be fixed by *********, we helped in finding her an alternating repair company that was able to repair her range. If ********* would have been able to fix it, we would have and invoiced her. ********* tried to rectify any concerns and questions that ********************** had and she ended the phone call in, "I will ruin you."

Information based on the paid receipt:

To convert gas range from *********** to ************ Repair cracked burner, repaired gas tubing, adjusted the orifices, cleaned the gas function parts. Tested all operations, all working proper.

I would like ***************** to submit proof of service technician coming to my house and stating that I needed a part which they could not supply.  The date and name and time of this visit, and price of visit.  The technician ****************** referred me to, calibrated and adjusted the oven which is what I asked ****************** to do after I realized the oven was not working properly and he refused.  ****************** billed me for that and said it was good to go and it was not.  My oven has worked wonderfully since and did not require a part.  I expect ****************** to reimburse me for the $190. I had to pay another serviceman to finish the job that he had already billed me for.

      Complaint: 21035961

I am rejecting this response because:

****************** refused to adjust my oven,  insisted it needed a part which it did not and referred me to another serviceman.  Who did adjust it and did not have to replace any parts.  ****************** said the stove was in working order which it was not.  ****************** charged me for a  service that was not complete, he must reimburse me the cost for the other serviceman who completed the service that ****************** did not.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

We have been in business for 14 years, hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and work hard to maintain our reputation. In addition to this complaint being filed, the Customer has filed a complaint with the ************************** left a negative ****** review and continues to leave my husband voice messages I am not comfortable with. In an effort to resolve this ongoing issue, even though we do not believe we are at fault, I am willing to refund this customer the $190.00 she is requesting, should she resolve this complaint with the BBB and AG office and remove her negative ****** review. Please advise.
